An Appeal to All Brahmins - Through the Sane Counsel of Lord Shri Krishna

Status
Not open for further replies.
Must Read for both the incident and the intended purpose of this allegory and THE APPEAL.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

There is this scene in the Mahabharatha wherein the time to kill Jayadratha before sun-set is near and Sun-Set is not too distant in time.

The Lord Shri Krishna stops the chariot and unyokes the horses.

Arjuna who is already stressed out and now doubly tensed, asks the Lord " KESHAVA, WHY HATH THOU STOPPED THE CHARIOT AT THIS CRITICAL JUNCTURE, WHEN SUN-SET IS NOT TOO LONG FROM NOW AND WE ARE STILL MANY MILES AWAY FROM VICTORY OVER JAYADRATHA ? "

The Lord replies " YOUR HORSES ARE TIRED, ARJUNA. TIRED HORSES CANNOT LEAD YOU ON THE PATH OF VICTORY "

A short time later, when the horses have been caressed well, fed water and allowed rest, recuperated and the abrupt intruder Duryodhana having been tackled and moved out of the way, the Lord and Arjuna head towards Victory over Jayadratha and achieve Victory.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Today, the MINDS OF BRAHMINS, MANY OF THEM, ARE STRESSED OUT.

THE HORSES REFERRING TO THEIR MINDS, ARE STRESSED OUT, AGITATED AND TIRED. THEY DO NOT SEE VICTORY IN SIGHT AND LOSE HOPE OFTEN AND FREQUENTLY.

A STRESSED, AGITATED AND TIRED MIND CANNOT ACHIEVE VICTORY. THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS TO LEAD A MEANINGFUL LIFE AND SUCH A VICTORIOUS LIFE CANNOT BE ACHIEVED BY A STRESSED, AGITATED AND TIRED MIND.

To beat this stress, UNFORTUNATELY, many brahmins take recourse to CIGARETTES, ALCOHOL, STEROIDS,...etc ADDICTIONS.

Instead, please understand that WITH SUCH ADDICTIONS YOU ARE ONLY PUMPING MORE TOXINS INTO THE CHARIOT OF YOUR BODY AND HALTING REGULARLY ON THE JOURNEY TO DE-STRESS THE HORSES OF YOUR MIND, BY SMOKING, ALCOHOL,...etc AT THE DROP OF THE HAT, IN EACH AND EVERY STRESSFUL MOMENT, BE IT PERSONAL AND/ OR PROFESSIONAL.

TOXINS ONLY WEAKEN YOUR SYSTEM FURTHER AND A WEAK SYSTEM CANNOT FETCH YOU VICTORY.

VICTORY HAS TO BE ACHIEVED AND THE SUN-SET OF AGE AND TIME IS RUNNING OUT FAST WITH EVERY PASSING DAY.

SO, as a FIRST STEP, all brahmins, please follow a SIMPLE RITUAL for 21 days continuously and see your strength grow on all counts.
Every thing becomes easier. Especially Anger Management.

::::: PLEASE LET GO... LET GO OF THAT CIGARETTE... LET GO OF THAT ALCOHOL...LET GO OF THAT BEER...LET GO OF THOSE STEROIDS... IF POSSIBLE, LET GO OF THAT COFFEE AND TEA AS WELL... PLEASE DROP THEM IMMEDIATELY AND FOR 21 DAYS, GO ON A PENANCE MODE OF LIVING LIFE WITHOUT THESE AND REGAIN YOUR STRENGTH OF MIND AND SYSTEM :::::

When you do this, whether you know any shlokam or not, whether you visit the temple or not, wherever you live, the moment you just dump these addictions and stop any toxin from entering your system, you can experience the marked difference and the fresh feeling.

With that fresh mind, start to gather the scattered pieces of your life and MOVE ON, towards VICTORY.
Leave the PAST to bury itself and MOVE ON.

All the Best.

Why appeal to only Brahmins? All human beings want victory and Lord Krishna's teaching is applicable to everyone

The above incident related to Pshatriya clan. Now there is no Varnasra Dharma. Krishna's war strategy can not bring desired results in the present circumstances.

To avoid or come out of bad habits, there are better case studies available.

Dear Sir,

Many of us females..dont drink..dont smoke..dont take anabolic steroids or prednisolone, dont drink coffee or tea at all..and life goes on as usual but all that is not enough to actually strengthen the mind.

Believe me..I dont even drink coffee or tea..but ups and downs of human emotions is actually very normal and nothing to feel ashamed about.

The horses of the mind does not run all that wild.

Most of us are focused on what we do.

Trying too hard to so call tame the horses of the mind adds anxiety.

I feel in life we have to take slow small steps even in letting everything go.

Drastic steps is only temporary suppression...its just a mask and nothing more.

Being without alcohol/cigg/steroids????/coffee or tea does not make totally victorious even though it does help to improve health.

Most revolutions seldom work..any change has to be gradual and it should drop from any human becos it fits him no more and not forced upon.

It is an Universal phenomenon , meaning that any undesirable habits acquired by T.brahmins in course of their life. are also as bad as anything people face .. Every one knows that Habits Die Hard, despite strong determination. What is required is start action today. Plan in phases from softer options & build into difficult options & review the same with a reliable Friend/ Relative .s . Also make a Silent VOW to your favourite GOD & write your Month=wise programme for next 6 Months Meantime, visit that Temple where your Favourite God is --- & offer Pooja & then start your Phase 2 & go on .
Even 50 % is acheived in 6 months & bal 50- % in Next year, for such GENUINE persons I vouch a Gift of Rs 1000/- & all of us who are , keenly interested( members)can join , to ensure this SACRED proposal works out successfully.

Sincerely,
Rishikesan(A.Srinivasan)

Dear Sir,

I understand your good intention as you always have good intentions..but why the cash offer of Rs 1000?

Why make a good proposal into a transaction?

Sacredness can never be measured of even compared with money I feel. Instead of a cash gift may be you can gift them a Holy Book of your choice.

What is life without 3Ws wine ,women and wealth. ?

Doctors say drinking is bad for health but there are more old drunkards than old doctors-this is an old joke I have read.

cigarette could have a negative effect - I was forced to give up that due to restrictions in my neighbourhood after my retirement as someone told my wife , not to ill treat

me as I was found smoking while occupying a park bench opposite her house and puffing away. it ended my free smoking once for all

But wine ,women and song are an elixir for good living

the last nawab of avadh spent his many years in this occupation while the british moved in to take over his kingdom

suggest see satyajit rays ' Shatranj ke khiladi' on last nawab of avadh

Dear Krish ji,

What will I do with Wine? I dont drink any type of alcohol.

What will I do with wealth? I dont even have the time to spend money.

What will I do with women? I dont do them!

So any suggestions?LOL

what is all this talk about victory and defeat . men are not in competition with women ,brahmin or non brahmin

As a man more than a brahmin , I feel 3Ws are the best way to live life

By the way 3Ws stand for wine.women and wealth. I only clarified for others who may not be aware of this

We have a short life. why complicate it by discussing various ways to reach God?

My philosophy-live life well enjoying all that life has to offer.

you might end up with a long life

even God if He exists might love you and reserve a special place in jannath[I was reading one short leaflet -Reflections by Maulana Wahidudhin Khan - a scholar of

sunni muslim faith from Deoband school.

I can quote a few paras from it if you want to know how to reach jannath in after life.

but I feel two religions would be good enough. A third would be one too many.lol

Do u want her to go in for another conversion - from Christianity to Islam? Probably, she may do one day, as in the case of European Christians.

I have suggestions.

You have tied yourself in knots saying you are a conventional lady

since I take people at face value my only suggestion for you is

Religion, carnatic music and looking after grand children . sorry to disappoint

you have done it to yourself claiming you are traditional

however pm me if you are otherwise [members of this forum do not approve of those changing their stand [...personal experience]]

I have some suggestions for ladies with a liberal mindset also.lol

Well..lets see..I spend my days seeing patients....these days I am reading Anjaneyaramayan in the day time and Manu Smirti at night..(I keep reading Sanskrit texts daily).

then weekends I play my piano to relax.

Never miss my exercise.

OMG! Its indeed a monotonous life..its just that instead of Carnatic music its Western Music!

Yes Yes..you need to give suggestions to me..remember I am a very traditional person who does not even drink coffee or tea.

In the morning I make Fruit Brew and add lemon juice and blended strawberries infused with warm water and a sachet of dried berries and add some organic honey.

So your suggestions better be in line with the ultra traditional life I follow!LOL

Stress is the cause of tension..I suggest all do deep breathing excercise...Sudarshan Kriya..It will reduce mental tension and all bad habits will fly away..PJ has posted an video on that ..Pl watch that

you are slowly falling into aeyo paavum class

you are young yaar

suggest forget you are a doctor and all your religious hang ups and enjoy like all people of your age group

no sense in acting older than you are.

escape from it if possible

whenever conventional fellows tried transforming me , I escaped with minor bruises

it is worth jumping off the religeous band wagon

of course music is a thing I got involved with since I happened to live for sometime with people who were crazy about carnatic music. western music -one requires a

different mind set -specially the classical type like beethhoven etc. western music is excellent for orchestration .I had a half crazy roommate in my bachelor days who used

to play western music classicals for whole nights sometimes. I get attracted to music. I care more for ghazals aand thumris -light north classicals, besides instrumentals -

shehnai,flute ...

wine can be relaxing . it is only fermented fruit juice. very low in alcohol less than five percent.

you have come across too many men as patients . you might have developed an aversion for anything male. it is difficult to get over disgust with people who whine about

real or imaginary ailments. so any relationship ,however spiritual can be a no-no. still all men may not be bad either. one can develop bonds and reach out to some of

them . but for that you have to get over basic aversion which might be difficult. I do not know.

Dear Krish ji,

I drink dark grape juice daily..so no need for wine..I dont like alcohol.

Male aversion?? No!

Why should I have a male aversion?

I am the only daughter with 2 brothers..no sister..I have 1 son and no daughter..so its always been more males in my life..in fact my contact with females is very less.

My best friend is a male..my childhood friend is also a male.

Even when I used to pray before I preferred a male divinity.

My fav actor is Shah Rukh Khan.

I have named my car Jethro Gibbs after my fav NCIS character.

I remember when my fathers bro died..I cried..but when my fathers sister died I did not cry at all.

I feel more for males!LOL

Those who I keep fighting with in Forum are also males!

I wonder what made you feel I have a male aversion?

renukaji
the conventional ladies in sixties and above complain about their spouses for lack of freedom and independance from household duties and it often becomes an aversion for

husband and extends to all males. this is in addition to the other trait of finding refuge in religion and temples. so religion and male aversion in my personal view go

together. so I believed automatically that it might be another case of male aversion plus religion. of course you are different . I should have realised it .sorry

Dear Krish ji,

You know why I feel more for males?

Its becos they are actually quite helpless in the real sense.

I have treated both dying males and dying females..its always the dying female who is more brave.

Males actually are truly weak within.

So somehow I feel a female can take care of herself.

The reason I did not cry for my aunt when she died is becos she lead a happy good life with everything and died of old age..so I did not feel a need to shed a tear..it was just a transition for her.

But my uncle had lead an unhappy life and fell sick and was helpless till he died..so for him I cried.

BTW you wont believe what I just read in Anjaneyaramayan right now.

Ok here goes..after Hanuman came back from Lanka setting it on fire..the Vanaras were overjoyed that Hanuman had located Sita and they wanted to celebrate by drinking alcohol!

This news was even conveyed to Rama and Rama told the Vanaras to enjoy themselves drinking and be ready for His next command to get Sita back!

So I guess you are right! Alcohol does relax!LOL

Krishji & Biswaji,

As kuvalaya's post is removed you may also want to do the same in your posts which quote her post verbatim

How does it matter who is who ..

We know people here by what they post and it is best kept that way in my view.

Some times self disclosures may reflect more of a imagination of the person's persona they may want to project.

In general I am against searching for personally identifiable information in a public forum

Rama gave one more opportunity to Vanaras to consume Soma Bhana. What happened? Did they consume and dance?

Dear Dr. Renuka, Awarding Rs 1000/ was thought of at that moment. I request you as a thoughtful lady , kindly improve o mine and suggest practical Ideas , from your end, because we all want a solution .
