Any living saints in the Tiruvanamalai area?

I have longed to meet one of the saints in India who had not attained samadhi. Shri Ramana Maharshi has stated that at any given time there are a number of sages in the vicinity of Tiruvanalai. I am not too keen on those gurus who have made it big in the world, just those who work in silence but have profound impact on a seeker. Perhaps they do not want to be in the public glare. I just would like to get a darshan of a living guru. Would someone please help?

If you are eligible to encounter a true sage you will meet him at Thiruvannamalai. The eligibility cannot be decided by you. So it is said. Siddhaas are wandering around Arunachalam invisible. Some say they are in Kaasi and also in Himalayas. Others are self-proclaimed or supported by dubious followers.

According to locals, the Kolli Hills teems with Siddhars, there are supposed to be Siddhars in Agastyarkoodam and Mahendragiri too. However, I do not know the veracity of these claims since they are not mine and I do not believe in them.

I thought Nithyananda was supposed to be from Tiruvanamalai and he is living too.
So there you go..I found you a living saint.

Are these near Arunachala? My interest in Arunachala stems from reading the Maharshi's words that at any given time there are (I forget the number) of saints in the vicinity of Arunachala.

Thousands of people of all kinds, and from far and near visited Shri Ramana Maharshi before his Mahasamadhi. I thought I would at least make an effort to seek out a noble soul. I mistrust current jet set saints and would feel fortunate to have darshan with the of the likes of visiri swami, etc.,

He is from Tiruvanamalai no doubt, and he is living, but is he a saint? Again we have to get into this whole business of who is a saint. I hope to keep clear of those embodied saints who are into conspicuous consumption while admonishing their followers to lead a simple live. Something does not seem to be right with that.

Only Lord Arunachala is saint. Only from his silence you can see saints.

Thank you for your advice. I have visited a number of Shiva temples and prayed to Him. He was silent, but I realize that there is a different kind of silence that bestows grace. I am not sure I have ever received this kind of silence, and knowing the kind of life I have led so far, I doubt I would ever be eligible for this grace.
