[h=1]Blackberry’s incredibly tall Android device leaks[/h] August 19, 2015 Kishore Ganesh Leave a comment
Consider the smartphone market of a few years ago: It was dominated by Blackberry, with enterprises trusting Blackberry with their data. Apple was a mere blip on the map and this prompted Blackberry to sit on its laurels and stop innovating, a tactic that ran the company into the ground.
A company that once dominated the smartphone market is now in such dire straits to get an acquisition offer from a small company like Xiaomi.
Many claim that Blackberry’s only respite could be an Android Phone, and they may actually be making one. Evan Blass, a prolific informant, has leaked information of a phone stamped with the Blackberry logo that is as Blackberry as Blackberry can be. The very weirdness that defines Blackberry’s latest phones embodies the phone that Evan Blass leaked.
It is an Android phone with a wide-screen ratio (16:9). Pretty standard. Except there is a QWERTY Keyboard below the screen that makes for an incredibly long phone. Thank god this phone is a slider, but even that makes it so bulky that you actually have second thoughts before you put it into your pocket.
Blackberry is throwing everything it has at the wall. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have much.
