I have heard of Hindus in the U.S. Army. One of the members here, his son was in \Iraq. A cousin's son was wayward, and he was admitted to the U.S. army by his parents.

But the concept of a Hindu priest? Not sure if there are Hindu priests in the Indian or British armies.

i know many hindu priests in indian army....i was from indian army...i worked as hindu priest in indian army too.. she is first hindu

priest in U S ARMY...even i got offer from U S ARMY TOO...but some reasons i was not joined in the U S ARMY as hindu priest...

i know her story....she is from the state very close to me....just info...in british army ..there are some gurkha regiments...

they are all from nepal....they have hindu priest too...

In the British Army:
Official sources say there are 230 Hindus, 220 Buddhists, 90 Sikhs and 305 Muslims in the British forces. Soldiers following Christianity number 183,000.


The four chaplains appointed after an external recruitment campaign are Buddhist chaplain Sunil Kariyakarawana, Hindu chaplain Krishan Attri, Muslim chaplain Imam Asim Hafiz, and Sikh chaplain Mandeep Kaur.
