if a group is controlled by a specific caste or sect, you cannot expect all
top executives from the same side. It is not possible. We will have to look
at composition of management. In the case of iyengar groups, it is more or
less with iyengars. In the case of iyers, some groups have vanished and in some
cases matrimonial alliances have changed or may change the composition.
Compared to iyengars, iyers lack interest in communitybuilding , which is
due to inconsistent religious following. How many iyers help their community
men/women, nurture, groom and make them repute, as in the case of parsis,
jains, marwaris, banias, punjabis etc.
The sidelining of 'ramanuja' was also one of the reasons.
