Internet speeds aren’t the same everywhere, and most of the world (especially in developing countries) have very slow Internet. This is why companies like Google an Facebook are finding ways to cut down on loading speeds and get content to the user as quickly as possible.

And now, Google has announced Brotli, a new compression algorithm for Google Chrome, which can make webpages load 26% faster. This only works with HTTPS websites, but now since just about every site has a HTTPS version, Brotli works pretty much everywhere.

The feature is available in Chrome’s developer branch, and will appear in the consumer branch soon.

What do you think?

Good news! Browsing is highly boring when pages takes hell of a lot time to load. More over it eats up data limits of those people who opt for limited data plans.
