[h=1]Chromebooks are getting Always-On Voice Recognition[/h] December 20, 2014 Kishore Ganesh
The first generation Moto X was special in that it was the only device on the market with Always-On Voice Recognition. You could start giving it commands without ever touching it, which was pretty convenient.
Then came Android Wear Smartwatches, which have the functionality built in. And then, finally, the Android Lollipop Update enabled several Devices to enable Anywhere Voice Recognition.
Google had added Google Now Integration with Chrome some Months ago, and you can bark commands at your Browser.
Now, Google is looking to integrate the experience further with ChromeOS, and so, as François Beaufort (A Google Employee Demonstrates), Google has added anywhere OK-Google activated Voice Recognition to the Beta Channel of ChromeOS.
We may see it appear on the Stable Branch soon. We think it is pretty great to have Google Now integrated into an OS, and with it integrated with your Desktop and Mobile Devices, you are bound to have a seamless experience wherever you go.
What do you think? Will OK-Google Voice Recognition be actually useful?
