While the premise of AI Assistants is futuristic and attractive and while the Prospect of Getting Things done with your Voice is extremely convenient, the reality could not be farther from the truth. While today’s Mobile AI Assistants like Siri and Google Now can do tasks, they are extremely limited in their capabilities and more often than not, misunderstand your Words.
As Wired reports, the creators of Siri will make a new AI Assistant from an Independent Startup named Viv Labs. This AI Assistant will be called Viv, and will surpass Siri, and other AI Assistants for that matter, in everything: Be it accuracy, or usefulness.
Viv can tap into the data of other Apps, by which it can adapt to you and give you suggestions tailored for you. It can also answer complex queries, even those that it isn’t programmed for: It will generate its own Code to go about the task of understanding a Command that it doesn’t even know.
Not only that, Viv can Learn. Meaning that every bit of Data from every user is being collected, stored and analyzed in the Cloud, which is Viv’s Brain. Basically: Viv’s Brain rests in Servers. Users running Viv will constantly generate, or come across new data, which will be sent to the servers by the Viv Clie
The fact that Viv can learn everything its Users come across makes it much more powerful and more useful than other AI Assistants. Over a period of time, due to the vast amount of Data given by Users, Viv will become extremely intelligent and may be able to answer almost every query you throw at it.
