Cyber Bullies, Stalkers and Fault Finders

I read an interesting article in today 5th oct The Hindu on the above subject

There is a growing culture of cyber bullying with hacking personal information , gathering every comment he has made, bringing it out for ridicule. they form a clique

with others and look for a battle with some perceived enemy.

the attacks extend from the person to their family, friends and force them to offer apology

This type of people keep stalking the victim and find repeatedly faults with anything they post

in south korea, it has lead to a few so subjected to harassment to take their lives thru suicide.

our forum is not lagging behind in this.

new members posts are followed and if it does not in conformity with views of some are similarly targetted.

most can recognise those who are doing this in this forum.

will they ever change ?

Dear Krish ji,

The world is made up of different types of people...in fact pairs of opposites is too mild a word.

I would prefer to call it a multidimensional world..almost hologram like..were we humans make up the fine dots of a hologram only to vanish sometime or the other.

Its real..yet transient...some might feel its unreal.

Frankly speaking I wont worry too much if anyone stalks me..becos a stalker wants others to develop Stockholm's syndrome.So a stalker tries to hold another captive with his words.

Stalkers are a unique..that is they cant decide to love or to hate.

Sometimes the words one types..becomes real..its goes thru the virtual world and stares at another right at their face.

Its the same as a face to face ordeal..we learn that basically its the mind that rules the human body.

Even words of the cyber world can induce hatred and love in another.

Love no big deal..after a while everything dies down.

Hatred on the other hand sinks its fangs into the mind of those who harbour it.

The venom then spreads into their entire being and directs their fingers to type what they feel.

Hatred is a dish best served cold..its so cold that the person who serves it eventually freezes.


If I were you..I wont worry too much about any stalker..watch them freeze.

Other thread, you are posting more philosophical things on Atma shakatam etc, and here you are wishing somebody to 'freeze'? Doesn't equate at all!!!

Sorry, I like to shoot straight and not hide behind any metaphysical veil and attempt crude potshots.

Bullying in real sense is not in this Forum. There is an efficient and unbiased system adopted by the Moderator, he watches and deletes deserving things.

Why imagine things which don't really exist.

What is going on is mere exchange of thoughts.

One is not supposed to resort to ‘name calling’ first. Some resort to it first.

The common thing is ‘you will reap what you sow’. People forget such basic ethics and start writing in this Forum which is read by a lot.

They conveniently forget that this is a public Forum. If one wants to write to his whims and fancies and expects no one to react, it is better he start his own Forum and go ahead merrily.

And if that option of ‘name calling’ is once exercised, one should be ready to face the reaction.

Reaction differs to each individual.

One’s reaction may be mild and others may come with more heat and few with sarcastic comments. Some of the Members have sharp tongue.

One should think twice before pouring anything in this Forum. It is not a private thing to write to one’s whims and fancies.

BTW one should admit that ‘name calling’ is bad and undesired.

Some don’t have tolerance and resort to ‘name calling’ and on seeing the mild reaction run away under the cover of cyber bullying, etc

Will they ever change??


P.S: The funny thing is, this Member resorting to changing his stand intermittently and used to pass the buck to mood swing, etc.lol

Some here claim name calling is fundamental right and covered under freedom of expression. And claim that 'I will express my offensive opinions and do not care whether it is palatable or hurts somebody'. Our rajadharma approves responding force with force till the opponent shows a white flag or surrenders or runs away (chasing is not recommended).

This can happen to anyone and no one is an exception.

The problem is some have figured out what they hate but I havent taken the time to give hate a thought.

That is the beauty of life..we are yet to decide what we really are.
