Demonetisation: Senior citizens praise exclusive Saturday offer from banks
Senior citizens all over the nation have praised the decision by the banks association to reserve Saturday for senior citizens to exchange notes.
All banks across the country are open today witnessing usual serpentine queue with people waiting for hours for their turn.
But for exchange of notes, it's exclusively for senior citizen today and they are understandably happy.
Even as normal queue was as long as hundred metres, the exclusive line for senior citizen for the purpose of exchanging old notes were starkly low, in some cases in single digit.
Rajat Bakshi of Noida who queued outside ICICI in sector 18 Noida said, "We are very happy. How can senior citizen be with others on the same line? This Exclusive Saturday exchange made life easier for us". A lady in her 60s standing outside a private bank in Connaught place had a different wish, "If the government can extend this arrangement to twice a week, it will be great".
