Do you prefer a Male God or a Female God?

I love mother Mahalakshmi equally as I do Sriman Narayana. However, when coming to Ishta deivam, my heart yearns for the darshan and guidance of Sri Ramachandra -- this has all to do with beautiful bearing, grace, mercy, kindness, invincibility, bravery, etc. Perhaps mother Mahalakshmi would have been my ishta if there were some ithihasa to solely focus on all these aspects within the mother goddess. But that being not there, my heart naturally yearns for one who is described in detail by our ithihasas... so a male or female god is equally ok to me.

Gods who are kids like Balakrishna and Balamurugan will be loved by lot many - because they are children.. Do we have female kid Gods?

Somehow the idea of female Gods never attracted my attention.

As a kid I did like Saraswati for a while but I was always turned off by Lakshmi..I do not like the idea of Lakshmi being linked with money and it just seems too materialistic to have pics of a goddess who stands with money.

So nope..not my cup of tea.

Anyway..lets see may be all the Male Gods can combine and become a Vishwaroopa of a gorgeous kind.

Yup..I know..its not only money..its all about Aishwaryam.

May be the painting of Goddess Lakshmi is too homely..so that is why I am not too fond of her.

In fact in my personal collection at home I have pics of Kali and Saraswati but not Lakshmi..just cant connect with Her.

Nope...I am not cos I have as soft corner for Lord Shiva...so you see the Vishwaroopa form is the best cos we have the best of all the Powerful Males in the world besides the President of the USA!.So its a woman's ultimate dream.
