"The man who knew Too much" was a great movie by Alfred Hitchcock. This song was "The icing on the cake" so to say. It was a great favourite with both boys and girls.

There were Juke Boxes in most of the cities.

My love of music started late (during my graduate school days) and for that I am forever indebted to my sister and to her husband (It is an irony I lived the first 12 years of my life in Tiruvarur the birth place of Music Trinity)

I have a mum who is mad about old Tamil, Hindi and English songs. And this is one of the songs i used to hear in our home. I'm probably the only one in my generation that knows or listens to Doris Day (ok i confess this is the only song I've heard of hers!)

I was just minding my own business, listening to some songs..... my wife saw the song I was watching & listening to... she said " வயசுக்கு தகுந்த பாட்டா இது? ஆன வயசுக்கு தகுந்த பாட்டு கேளுங்கோ!'.. I said in Appusaamy thatha fashion... " சர்தான் போடீ!"... and posted the song here too!

I'm a huge Shirley Bassey fan simply because her voice is so rich, deep and powerful and her pronunciation so so clear. I can get every word...almost.
