Another .sunday again. A time for reflections
I read an interesting post by Paul Coelho on frogs. quoting below
"Some biological studies show that frogs placed in a receipient containing the same water as its lake stayed motionless during the whole time the liquid was being
heated. Frogs do not react to the gradual increase in temperature [environment changes] and die swollen and happy when the water boils
On the other hand another frog tossed into the same receipient with the water boiling, immediately jumps out. A bit scorched, alive none the less"
"we are like boiling frogs. We do not notice changes. we feel everything is fine.or what is wrong will go away -it is only a matter of time. we stay inour stable in our
apathy.floating in the water getting hotter and hotter and end up dying without noticing the changes all around us
In real life it is better to jump out a bit scorched but alive and ready to act"
How true . most of us after a particular age become status quo ists , becoming blind to changes around us until a bad event strikes which could have been easily
avoided by timely action. most senior citizens do not take control of their lives and plan ahead . they become spectators as others around them move and reduce
them to non entities
