If there are going to be several people online Google Hangouts Video chat is probably a better option, it is very easy to set up and use from your Google account via Google Plus.

What is the time and day, I have not received any PM about it .....

I live in cool Coimbatore. I am neither hosting the meet nor attending it this time.
But please feel free to attend it. You will get to know some Chennai based members.
I bet they are an interesting lot to know and to befriend. :)
 
I (being a recent convert/addict to crossword puzzles) composed a 4x4 acrostic/crossword puzzle (easy one) for the upcoming get-togther (with help from one of the forum members) - all for fun and malice towards none.
Here is an improved puzzle

(I modified 4 across clue and 4 down clue after seeing Smt RR Madam's response tpo my earlier version) - The puzzle is google friendly

I sent a mail to Alwan Sir and he has confirmed his attendance in the meet on 22nd. Sent the route map to him, later.

Also, Sri. Gopalan Sir (whom I consider an asset to our forum) sent a PM to me that he will join by 'Skype' chat around 12.30 p.m.

Hope you have installed 'Skype' in your P C. :)

the man may call himself aalvan. but should we not show respect?

i am reading kalki's parthiban kanavu now.. just the first few chapters. i was surprised that an old grandpa addressed by kalki as 'avan'. what is the world coming to?

here in canada, in the local tamil radio station, children are addressed as neengal. so nice to hear!!
 
My lecturer neighbor talks to her son as Thambi neega

and he replies to her saying PODI nee! NOT very nice to :ear:

Names are kept to identify people

neither to boost them nor to blame them.

Should I address you as Kunjappar in the future??? :decision:

People call you as K, Kunjs etc and you never reacted sir!!! :wacko:

I had made sure I wrote the name with a Mr. in the front so that

hairsplitters will have no cause to complain and YET...!!!

take it easy visa. kunjuppu is kunjuppu or any term of endearment.

i myself am no better. if you go through my posts, i am quite sure i have addressed the gentleman as alwan :( still it stuck me at this moment after hearing tamil radio here. that is all.

apologize for any ruffled feelings. :)

by the way did you know that chirapalli is the ancient name for modern thiruchirappali. thiru came only later.

If கூரத்தாழ்வான், a contemporary of Ramanuja is an ஆழ்வான், why not t. ஆழ்வான் be an ஆழ்வான்?
