Google has added voice search to Chrome’s growing arsenal of features. The feature is only available in Chrome Beta, with ChromeOS support coming soon. It is triggered when you say “Okay Google” on the Google homepage or when you open a new tab.
You can also use Google Now commands to set reminders and alarms.
The update also brings another feature: The ability to sync settings for supervised accounts across platforms.
To do so: “Users -> Import an existing supervised user” and then choosing the user to sync to.
Other features are mainly targeted towards devs: The ability to choose image resolution for different sizes, so that an image suitable for your device’s screen size is sent, lessening page-load times.
It also adds the Web Audio API for processing and synthesizing audio in web apps.
This is a quite an update, with features that Desktop users have been clamoring for quite some time. Voice Search will move towards the stable version from beta “soon”.
