[h=1]Google Maps gets huge update (With Uber integration!)[/h] May 6, 2014 G.Kishore
Google is updating the Maps app for both iOS and Android with several new additions, with the most interesting among them being Uber integration, search filters and additions to Turn-by-Turn navigation.
Google has improved navigation by adding a new feature which tells you whether you are in the right lane (or not), which while sounding insignificant, really is a welcome addition.
Searching too has been improved, with the addition of filters such as price rating for narrowing down your search for hotels, restaurants, etc.
With the new Uber integration (If you got the Uber app installed and are in a supported City), you would be able to get the estimated time it would take for a ride to reach your destination, as opposed to walking/transit. If you want the ride, you may launch the Uber app from the Maps app itself.
And finally, Google has made saving Offline Maps easier. The new update is a pretty significant one, so what are you waiting for? Update!
