I am reminded of an anecdote that my doctor dad shared with me.
A rich man came along with his wife and 5 year old son, on vacation, to his father's house in nearby village. The kid developed
fever and cold. Immediately, he took the kid to a specialist in Coimbatore, who prescribed a course of medicines to be taken
for five days. Within two days, the kid became inactive and bedridden. His grandparents, who were my dad's patients, sent
their car to my dad and requested him to 'see' the kid. Soon after seeing the condition, my dad asked them to stop ALL the
medicines and feed only lots of liquids - warm water, juice, kanji etc. Next day, when dad took his car to visit them again, that
kid was jumping and playing with his grandfather, in their 'thiNNai'. And....... dad was profoundly thanked by that family.
