Vagmiji, your observation is relevant and valid. But Sri prasadji has the habit of jumping of the rails and convert an issue based discussion to accusing any individual who posts something not in line with his humanistic self ideals. Even in this thread #7 redirects the discussion to personality bashing. This is not the first time and has happened to several members of the forum. He has the history of using words like - 14th century, sanghi, hindutva and a lot more - all in the derogatory sense. He is always the first one to draw and wave the sword against individuals (not ideas or views).

There will be no issues, no offensive retorts if he does not start one. I can give several examples who starts stone throwing first and again and again before a small stone is thrown back (#21). Prasadji has done this to others too.

And this is #7 of prasadji

"It is funny that RSS functionary is seeing US election with Indian Point of view (i am being charitable).
She is Christian (of course) in Christian majority country in a nationwide election. She is American, and India is one of the 196 country in the world.
She is not anti-Indian, she is pro-American.
When someone does not understand the world politics, they should find some other threads to post their ignorance."

And this is #20 of prasadji

"Some people are ignorant of how politics works in their own country, but then they dabble in something they know nothing about. Parroting items from "fox" news, which is not a news channel but an entertainment channel.

What Clinton did with the e-mail in USA is not a crime. It is foolish to judge events in a foreign land with Indian POV.
But then again it has never stopped this individual from running his mouth.

Dear prasadji,

Why this rancor? Why do you hit below the belt? Why hit at the posting member instead of dealing with his post? I find this going on between you and Sarang for sometime. I wish you leave this track and switch over to a new track of just answering the post instead of the poster. That would do a lot of good to our exchange of info and knowledge here. Hope you would agree and Sarangji too would agree. We are fed up with your mutual recrimination.

If you are to ask me as to who am I to question you, my answer would be that I am a member of this forum and so I have a right and the necessary locus standi. LOL.

Bernie Sanders: Hillary Clinton Won't Stand Up To Billionaires On Income Inequality

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is questioning whether Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is "prepared to take on the billionaire class" in her 2016 bid for the White House.

The self-described democratic socialist, who is considering running for president himself, met with
Bloomberg reporters and editors on Wednesday. During the meeting, Sanders said he does not believe, "based on her record" that Clinton is "prepared to take on the billionaire class" to address income inequality.

"It's not what she says, it's what she does," he said of the former secretary of state.

“The country belongs to all of us and not just the billionaire class," he continued. "Do I think that's Hillary Clinton's politics? No. No I don't."

Clinton launched her campaign Sunday, officially ending years of speculation that she would jump in the race. Like
other candidates eyeing the Oval Office, Clinton has vowed to take on economic inequality, and in her first campaign event criticized the high paychecks of top business executives.

"There's something wrong when CEOs make 300 times more than the typical worker," Clinton said at a
roundtable in Iowa on Tuesday.

"There's something wrong when American workers keep getting more productive, as they have, and as I just saw a few minutes ago is very possible because of education and skills training, but that productivity is not matched in their paychecks."

Sanders told Bloomberg his decision on whether to challenge Clinton will depend on how much money he can raise. However, he said he believes his pro-worker message resonates with many voters.

“The message I have has a lot of support," he said. "It's going to be a gut decision."

Candidate Hillary

On April 12, Hillary Clinton moved one step closer to becoming the
first-ever woman President of the United States. The 2016 election will be her second presidential run. To succeed this time she will have to eschew the theme of “inevitability” that had crept into her bruising primaries battle against Barack Obama in 2008, and that ultimately sank her campaign. The former First Lady was off to a quick start in her campaign video and came out swinging for the fences as a would-be “champion of everyday Americans”. The implied focus on the welfare of the middle class is a throwback to liberal Democratic values and poses a challenge to Republican Party free-marketeers. It may also reflect her intention to separate her record from that of the inc umbent Mr. Obama; this was mostly evident in her comment that “the cards are still stacked” against the common person. Ms. Clinton is indeed a different beast to the President, although pundits predict she will borrow elements of campaign design from her former boss, and indeed the social media strategies employed so ably by Team Modi in 2013-14. Buttressing her nuts-and-bolts approach to campaign management, she can be expected to project her deep understanding of the paralysed politics of Washington, and be unapologetic about her political pedigree.

I for one hope that Martin O'Malley gives Clinton a run for her money. But in any case, the bigger hope is that the Democratic candidate will win eventually.

I dont know why..I am not fond of Hiliary Clinton..she has an overambitious look and will do anything to be in power sorts.

I would like Michelle Obama to stand for presidency in the future cos firstly she has very good fashion sense and secondly she does not have a mean face..she has a smiling approachable loving face.

I think I might be a bit traditional in thinking..I still prefer a female not to display over ambitiousness..the reason being is then we have to be a like a male and lose the weapon of femininity.

I wonder at times why women want to be overtly in-charge of every situation when we can use femininity and make males slaves!..let the males do the work!LOL

Renukaji,

The world of politics is vastly different from the middle class home. In the latter case looking vulnerable, looking coy and looking innocent may all be weapons for use at the right moment. But politics is a different ball game. Pun here intended.

With politicians around you who are cunning and clever, who will--given a chance-- eat you alive and take out your skeletal remains from the terminating orifice of your alimentary canal to make a fine artistic piece for display in their drawing room JJ has been playing her role as the leader of a political party adroitly. She does not hide her ambitious looks and ruthlessness. She knows that she is a ring master in a circus who sticks her head into the open mouth of the many animals sitting around her and that she has to keep their mouth open just as long as she needs to take her head out. And what more when she takes her head out the animals chant amma amma non stop. LOL. That is politics and that is leadership. Hillary and mitchell are just jujubi when compared to amma. I wish amma becomes the American President. LOL.

Not possible..I dont think Air Force One can take off with her weight!LOL

There is a way. The AF-1 can jettison one of the numerous missiles it carries. One missile less wont make a big dent particularly when the all powerful walking God amma is there. LOL.

Hillary Clinton’s Apr. 12, 2015 presidential campaign launch kicked the US presidential race for 2016 into higher gear. It’s also the first American campaign announcement to garner significant media attention in India. Due to her long history with India—as first lady, a senator, and secretary of state—Clinton is a known quantity in the region and has a clearly articulated policy record on South Asia, unlike other presidential candidates. One Indian paper covered her campaign launch with the headline, “Hillary hearts India.” That background makes it easier to assess how a possible Clinton administration might approach ties with India.

First and foremost, she sees India as a crucial part of US strategy in a world increasingly centered on Asia, where, in her words, “the future of politics will be decided.” As secretary of state, her focus on rebalancing US foreign policy toward Asia contained a strong emphasis on expanding ties with India, one of the emerging Asian powers highlighted in her Foreign Policy essay of 2011. This was the essay that referred to “actively support[ing] India’s ‘Look East’ effort” and talked of India as a “linchpin” of an “economically integrated and politically stable South and Central Asia.”

It’s perhaps as important to note that Clinton’s willingness to speak bluntly and publicly to Pakistan about the problems of terrorism in their country won her plaudits in India. Articles in the Indian press covering her campaign announcement mentioned her “tough messages” to Pakistan with approval.

That’s an overview of policy priorities. What adds to her warm reception in India, as noted earlier, is the interest in India and South Asia she has demonstrated extending back to her visit as first lady in 1995. As a senator, she helped create and co-chaired the Senate India Caucus. She supported the US-India civil nuclear agreement spearheaded by the Bush administration, which won congressional approval in 2008. She has traveled extensively in India, and over the decades interacted just as extensively with Indian media, such as in “townterviewappearances with India’s leading journalists. This is a much deeper level of familiarity with India, going back two decades, than any other candidate in the race.

Tough message followed by a billion dollar aid to buy weapons which will be used against india. In the war with pakistan, indian gnat fighters downed us sabre jets and immobilised US tanks. And US objected to handing over the remains of jets and tanks to russia. That is an old story.

It appears hillary has learnt from rahul gandhi; and her anti modi stand and actions through ngos is well known. She has to divest a lot of old bags and change a lot to win the trust and respect of desi indians.

'Her interview with barka dutt and other senior journalists who are now known as 'bazarus' and 'presstitutes' do not generate goodwill for her.

More than what she is for india, we are interested what she will do to jihadi gangs and evangelists and anti india ngos to judge her 'friendship hand' to india.

Clinton Foundation admits mistakes in donor disclosure
WorldMonday, April 27, 2015 - 23:45

Amid growing scrutiny of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, the Clinton Foundation has admitted that the family philanthropy organisation made mistakes in how it disclosed its foreign donors.

Even as it claimed that its "donor disclosure and foreign government contributor policy is stronger than ever", acting CEO Maura Pally in a blog post on Sunday said: "So yes, we made mistakes, as many organizations of our size do."

"But we are acting quickly to remedy them, and have taken steps to ensure they don't happen in the future," she said, defending the work of the organisation founded by her husband and former president Bill Clinton in 2001.

"We are committed to operating the Foundation responsibly and effectively to continue the life-changing work that this philanthropy is doing every day," Pally said.

Since the former secretary of state and first lady "decided to run for president, we have committed to disclosing all of our donors on a quarterly basis", she said.

In addition, the foundation "will only accept funding from a handful of governments, many of whom the Foundation receives multi-year grants from, to continue the work they have long partnered on".

Referring to the controversy over the foundation's tax returns, she said "after a voluntary external review is completed", it "will likely refile (tax) forms for some years".

Asserting that it did not indicate "a failure to accurately report our total revenue", Pally said: "Our total revenue was accurately reported on each year's form -- our error was that government grants were mistakenly combined with other donations."

"Those same grants have always been properly listed and broken out and available for anyone to see on our audited financial statements, posted on our website," she said.

Pally also described the foundation's work with the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, which she said received funding from a separate organisation in Canada.

She said that partnership does not disclose its donors because under Canadian law they are not disclosed without prior permission from each donor.

"This is hardly an effort on our part to avoid transparency," Pally said.

"As the Foundation's impact has grown, so too has its commitment to transparency," she said.

"When Hillary Clinton was appointed secretary of state, we took unprecedented steps to avoid potential conflicts of interest."

It also established a policy around the foreign government contributions.

Hillary Clinton has in the past sought to dismiss questions about financial support for the foundation and allegations of undue influence as "distractions and attacks" by Republicans seeking to discredit her.

India Politician’s $5M Donation

A politician from India donated some $5 million to the Clinton Foundation — which would have amounted to nearly his entire net worth, a new book about the Clintons claims.

The Clinton Foundation in 2008 reported that it had received a contribution of between $1 million and $5 million from Amar Singh, a member of India’s Parliament and a pal of Bill Clinton.

The 2008 contribution was made as Congress debated approval of a nuclear agreement between the United States and India, which then-Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton eventually supported. She met with Singh in Washington in September 2008 to discuss the legislation.

For his part, Singh gave cryptic and conflicting answers about the donation.
He told the Times of India “the payment could have been made by someone else” on his behalf.

Singh told government ministers his name was listed by the Clinton Foundation because he had “facilitated the payment and, therefore, it ‘erroneously’ appeared in the records,” according to the book.

Bill Clinton first met Singh in 2005 through Sant Chatal, an Indian-American businessman who generated millions of dollars for the foundation, in speaking fees for the ex-president, and for Hillary’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Clinton and Singh hit it off so well off during their first meeting in India that the former president invited Singh to be his guest at the Clinton Global Intitiative held in New York days later, granting him a seat at the head table.

Hillary Clinton’s financial links to India and the Indian-American community were so established during the 2008 campaign that Barack Obama had to apologize after a campaign aide made the “dumb mistake” of mocking her as “(D-Punjab)” in a campaign memo.

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina today announced her candidature for the US presidential elections.

She is now the first female declared candidate to seek the Republican Party's nomination for 2016.

"Yes, I am running," she said through her posts to her social media accounts. "I think I'm the best person for the job because I understand how economy actually works,' Fiorina told ABC News. "I understand executive decision making which is making a tough call in a tough time with high stakes," she said.

The Clinton Foundation in 2008 reported that it had received a contribution of between $1 million and $5 million from Amar Singh, a member of India’s Parliament and a pal of Bill Clinton.

What does Amar Singh have to do with the Clintons that he has made a donation to their foundation ? Was this donation made by him on his own interest or on behalf of someone to get some favors from the Clintons ?

Politician Amar Singh's Donation to 'Pal' Bill Clinton's Foundation Questioned

Amar Singh, then General Secretary of the Samajwadi Party and lawmaker, contributed between $1 million and $5 million to the Clinton Foundation in 2008, the Post cites the book "Clinton Cash" as saying.

The contribution, it reports, was made as the US Congress debated granting approval to the landmark India-US civil nuclear deal which Hillary Clinton, then a senator, eventually supported. The US Congress passed it with an overwhelming majority.

According to the book's author, Peter Schweizer, says the Post, the size of the donation, relative to Mr Singh's net worth, raised questions about whether he was the true source of the cash. It says the author speculates whether Mr Singh "was a conduit for other powerful interests in India pushing for approval of the nuke deal."

Together the couple (Mrs & Mr Clinton) have made $ 25 Million from 104 paid speeches since Jan 2014...Good strategy

[h=1]Hillary Clinton made $3.2 million from the tech sector. Now she’s hitting it up for campaign dollars.[/h]
Out of the $11.7 million that Hillary Clinton has made delivering 51 speeches since January 2014, $3.2 million came from the technology industry, the analysis found. Several of the companies that paid Clinton to address their employees also have senior leaders who have been early and avid supporters of her presidential bid.

The tech sector was the largest single source of speaking fees for Clinton, followed by health care and financial services, according to the Post analysis. Bill Clinton also made substantial income speaking to tech groups but focused more heavily on financial services, insurance and real estate companies.
