Intel’s new Core M Chipsets enable the possibilty of fanless Laptops that offer adequate performance, and it seems that HP wants to be one of the first with the Elitebook 1020
which has a thin and elegant Design, with a 12.5 Inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixel) Screen that can be upgraded to one with a Touchscreen.
Underneath, it has a Core M Chipset, meaning high-power efficiency and no need for fans to cool down the CPU.
It is light too, at 1.2kg, while there is also another edition of this Laptop that is lighter, at 1 kg. The Special Edition also has a 12.5 Inch Quad-HD (2560×1440) pixel screen.
You have a choice of Windows 7, 8, Ubuntu, DOS and Windows 10 (when it releases) to get installed on the HP Elitebook 1020.
These Laptops are made with a combination of Magnesium Alloy and Carbon, making them extremely durable against shocks, drops, etc.
These Laptops, while holding their own against the Macbook Air in terms of Design, they are more Business-focused, while the Air is more for the casual crowd.
The prices of these Laptops haven’t been announced, but the Standard Edition will release in February 2015, while the Special Edition will launch later.
