[h=1]Rumor: HTC’s next Flagship will ditch the Name and the Ultrapixel Technology[/h] December 4, 2014 Kishore Ganesh
The year 2014 is about to end and soon 2015 will begin, and the new year will be welcomed with some of the largest Tech Conventions, such as CES ( Consumer Electronics Show) and MWC (Mobile World Congress).
MWC is where flagships from most companies are announced, and it seems HTC’s next Flagship too will be announced at MWC, and it will pack a punch, according to @upleaks.
First off, @upleaks says that the next HTC Flagship will be codenamed “Hima”, while others claim that “Hima” will be the official Name of the Product, not the code name.
It may have a 5 Inch Screen with the same 1080p (1920×1080 pixels) resolution, which is less sharper than some other flaships in the Market, which have Quad-HD Screens (2560×1440 pixels).
It is probably for the best, though, as Quad-HD Screens on Smartphones don’t offer any perceptible visual improvements and may also take a toll on the Battery Life.
Underneath, it may have Qualcomm’s latest and greatest, the Snapdragon 810, which is a high-end 64-bit Octa-Core Processor offering unparalleled performance. The beefy processor may be combined with an adequate 3GB of RAM.
HTC’s Ultrapixel Technology, which improves low-light picture quality at the expense of the overall sharpness, may finally be ditched with Hima coming with a 20.7MP Camera. The front may have a 13MP Camera, or an Ultrapixel one.
It will support the fastest LTE Bands, and powering it all would be a 2870mAh Battery.
It will run Android Lollipop with a Sense 7 overlay. It will be announced at MWC, which will take place in May 2015.
