English translation of a Sanskrit Subhashita:

To understand the difference between good and evil,(the benign and the malignant), (it is instructive to) observe (the nature of) the cow and the cobra. The cow eats grass and transforms it into milk, (while) the cobra drinks milk and converts it into poison!!
