Sir,

Good innovation. Nice protection against scorching sun. Is he not supposed to wear helmet? Heard about Damocles sword hanging over head. But this one!!

With regards

If the fall does not kill you, the fan will decapitate you. From the looks of it is somewhere in Pakistan.

I think with such innovation, going by your version, one needs body protectors too with neck brace. Anyway it is the botheration of the rider.

here is a short poem.....

Your post # 3 - My guess is that this genius is in India - it is a Haryana Number Plate,
- probably a Re-registered Royal Enfield 350 cc [ more than 15 years old ] - they had the gear pedal on
the right side and the rear brake pedal on the left those days - as is in the picture.

They do all sorts of innovative things in Punjab & Haryana such as mounting a 500cc diesel engine [ Greaves]
on an Enfield bike frame, mounting an Enfield 350 cc on a land tiller or a home-made three wheeler which
is a popular mode of rural transport - known as Phat-Phati Gaadi.

Who knows, this chap might even have some solar panels on the roof! There is such a wide range of
contraptions to ferry people and merchandise - many of the 'unnecessary' irritants like horns / lights /
indicators / speedometer / fuel gauge are just done away with !

I have traveled in some of these 'Jaunty Jalopies' - they never skid off the road, climb any gradient,
never break-down in the middle of nowhere and where every part of the vehicle seems to compete
with every other part in making noise - on top of all this there would be perfectly sane conversations
between the occupants of the Phat-Phati !

They call it JUGAAD !

Yay Yem

Man gaye yar.
Your observations are astute.

Jugaad is a Hindi-Urdu term widely used in India and Pakistan and by people of South Asian origin around the world. Jugaad (also sometimes jugarh or jugard) is a term applied to a creative or innovative idea providing a quick, alternative way of solving or fixing a problem. Jugaad literally means an improvised arrangement or work-around, which has to be used because of lack of resources.

The same term, Jugaad, is given to locally made motor vehicles, used mostly in small villages as a means of low-cost transportation in rural India. These vehicles are made by carpenters by fitting a diesel engine on a cart.

What an idea in the second picture found in A M Sir's link!

Cool innovation to make hot water!! :thumb:

P.S: Edited to avoid confusion. :becky:

Dear Tmt RR, Bala Sir

Keeping in tune with the OP - really NO IDEA, why TVK Sir put this up
under 'Literature' !

Anyhow, since "NO IDEA" is the motto, I really don't have an idea about this picture either !
[ I've posted this once before ] :

Dear A M Sir,

I too have :noidea: why this OP appeared in the Literature forum.

Just to justify, I wrote a short Tamil poem (??) in post # 5!

Anyway you can't read it! :ranger: . . .

A very sincere photographer!!

But who are all inside the black covers? :noidea:

P.S: Probably it is time to start a new thread titled 'No idea!!'

In Picasa albums, we can name the people.

Then others just click on a person's face to know the name!

It should be very useful for the photographer seen above!
