Is it an Iyer story?

What??

Nope...it is just that South guys take some time to warm up and are usually shy.

But they keep complaining if the North guy overtakes them!LOL

Moral of the story: If you want something.. act fast!

BTW many girls are wary of the man who throws money..a person who throws money seldom has values.

Love is not built on cash...Love is a story that is built on emotional attachment, trust, strength and a same IQ wave length.

Mam,

May be right when considering Mrs. Hemamalini and Mrs. Sri Devi.

With regards

The 'warming up' starts with the purse, Renu!

BTW, I can't help imagining you running fast to escape from your classmate North Indian guys!

MBBS guys were nerds..it was the engineering guys who were always chasing girls.

Anyway Dental guys were somewhat hot too!

Dear RR ji,

That is mostly for girls who had never seen money in their lives...they tend to fall flat for money.

Most of those who came from well to do homes did not run after money.

You see in a Private Medical or Private Engineering college..most of the students there come from well to do homes and are equals in terms of socio economic status...so the denominator is the same..money is not the criteria when both the boy and girl have money.

Then finer stuff like good looks, good values etc coming into the picture.

The review of the not so great movie reads

Quote:
Meet the gorgeous gora-gori jodi of this village-side story. Dia (Kareena), a social worker living in Bengaluru. There she meets the phoren-educated architect Sriram (Imran) - who she calls 'Sridevi'; a misfit and 'black' sheep in a traditional, lungi-clad Tam-Brahm family. He's carefree, casual about love, lazy and shows little humanitarian inkling. She's a fiery, righteous rebel, a mini 'Mother India' who fights for everything 'unfair'. They fall in love, but their ideologies are unaligned, so over some 'tooh-tooh main main', they split up and move on.

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein! movie review: Wallpaper, Story, Trailer at Times of India

Why did Karan Johar choose an Iyer boy for the characterization....Or is the craze now to combine with South for the pan Indian audience?

I feel cos of the success of Chennai Express a North South story..so I guess Karan Johar thinks that audience would like to see some similar magic on screen again..but I wonder if such North South combination movie would spin wonders again? I hope its not a little too soon.

BTW Imran looks totally like a Southern European more than a South Indian of any caste.

His features are very unlike a South Indian of any kind...so I wonder if they should have chosen any other actor who can pass off as a South guy.

I am not talking about skin color here cos some South guys too are very fair..compare the pics of Arvind Swamy and Imran.

Arvind's features are South Indian and Imran is not having South Indian looks at all.

In fact at times Imran can pass of as a Southern European.

tambrahm girls seem to be a fatal attraction for north boys. you have to be in north india where south brahmin girls dating and marrying punjabi and UP boys is becoming commonplace.unless there are marriage reforms and liberalism in dating and socially mixing in south ,future is bleak for brahmin community in south as far marriage within community is concerned
