After a 15 year hiatus the Maharashtrian Brahmin has sprung back as a potent force..With the selection of Devendra Fadnavis as BJP Chief Minister, it is full circle for the Brahmins..The last Brahmin CM was Manohar Joshi from Shivsena..Surprisingly the Congress & NCP are led by the Maratthas who were recently declared as OBC...Earlier had Gopinath Munde been alive, he would have been the face of BJP & its mascot.

Devendra Phadnavis is a clean politician with support of all communities in Nagpur belt..He has risen ranks from being a Corporator to Mayor & 3 time MLA..His clean image along with backing of Amit Shah-Modi combine did the trick

TB can emulate from the success of Devendra Fadnavis...

Both in maharashtra and haryana, bjp has not played or emphasized caste or sectarian politics; all candidates have been selected on merit and capability. Now the media is shouting - haryana has a non-jat cm and maharashtra a brahmin cm. Only the media is caste and religion conscious and makes the accusation - minorities are not represented. BJP is the only party which has stayed away from caste politics, basha politics (he said in mumbai - no bhasha vad), and son of soil politics (no outsiders).

I have not read those articles..I am living in Haryana & I know the extent of corruption in the Congress government led by Hooda..I am happy that a Brahmin is selected in Maharashtra..That BJP is willing to consider only merit in selection is a plus point indeed.

Gopinath Munde was an OBC, brother-in-law of late Pramod Mahajan, who was a B. I feel Manohar Joshi was a Madhwa.

Most of the TB supported a B. Didn't u know the outcome? Were you out of the country?

Well Tamil Nadu had a TB CM...its only Subramaniam Swamy that landed her in jail.

TN had two B full time CMs and a CM from B for 13 days. If any member knows the achievement of them, please furnish.
