Scientists and geologists claim that this temple of Sri Kedareshwar was under the snow for four centuries around 1300-1900 AD. The temple not only survived being under the snow for 400 years, but also escaped any serious damage from glacial movement. The scientists further report that the temple was designed and constructed not only keeping the terrain climatic conditions, natural disasters, but also the passage of time. This temple houses the Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva and was revived by Jagatguru Adi Shankaracharya.
