Krishna Paksha during Utharayanam

Need advice. Can we conduct Upanayanam during Krishna Paksha in the 6 month period of Utharayanam? Thank you. Namaskaram.

Utharaayanam is preferred to Dakshinaayanam; similarly, Shukla Paksha is preferred to Krishna Paksha. But in today's conditions if it is just impossible to get a convenient muhurta during Shukla Paksha, and if your vaadhyaar also agrees, upanayanam may be conducted before Krishna Sapthami, i.e., half of the dark half. Some times Vaadhyaar may say that a Chandra Preethi has to be done, but usually it will be very simple, like the Ganapathy pooja only.
