Dear Sir,
Mr.Ma ka.Tamil Prabakaran was a student reporter in Vikatan group of publications in the year 2011-2012. He was selected as the best student reporter in his batch. After completing his training in Vikatan group of publications, he has been working as a free lancer for Vikatan group of magazines and various other news portals.
Mr.Ma ka Tamil Prabakaran had visited Sri Lanka in the year 2012 and wrote a series about the plight of the Lankan Tamils in the Tamil bi-weekly Junior Vikatan, which was subsequently published as a book. Mr.Maha Tamil Prabakaran went to Sri Lankan on a tourist visa and he was taken around the area of Tamils at Kilinochi by Mr.Sridharan, Member of Parliament and Mr.Pasupathi Pillai, an elected member of Northern Provincial Council.
At a time when they were visiting Valaipedu Village in Kilinochi District, they were intercepted by the Sri Lankan Army and all of them were taken into custody. While Sridharan and Pasupathi Pillai were released by the army, Mr.Maha Tamil Prabakaran has been detained by the army and according to media reports, he is being interrogated at the Sri Lankan Terrorist Crime Prevention Center at Colombo.
I request you to kindly intervene in this matter through diplomatic sources and ensure the release of Mr.Ma.ka Tamil Prabakaran safely.
Sincerely
