Mantra Rajapada stotram

Since this thread is in G D forum, I am asking this Q. How do we know that Lord Shiva composed this?

This stOtram is given in this link:
Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar: Mantra raja pada stotram

The third stanza says,

''Paadaavashtabddha paataalam moordhaavishta trivishtapam

Bhuja-pravishtaashta-disam MAHAAVISHNUM namaamyaham - 3

I offer my salutations to Maha Vishnu, whose feet touch the nether lands, whose forehead touches

the heaven and whose hands spread in all directions.
(3)''

We have heard the story of Vishnu and Brahma going in search of the feet and crown of Lord Shiva. Brahma

told a lie that he saw the crown; thAzhampoo told it was true; hence Brahma does not have temples like Shiva

and Vishnu and thAzhampoo is not used for pooja. This might be a story by a devotee of Lord Shiva and the

above slOkam might have been composed by a devotee of Lakshmi Narasimhar.

Please do not indulge in fights. This is ONLY my observation. :)

In short what is conveyed is this:

There are many Gods. Whoever said there can be just only one God must go and hang.

When you sing a song telling the story of how your god was worshipped by my God, I have to come and reply that there is another song with a story that your God also worshipped my God once upon a time as per story in the book@@@@ page #&&&&.

Having said that, I am happy that I have done my duty to my God.

I have also told that there need not be any fight fully knowing that I have already initiated one. LOL.

Your God, my God and all Gods bless you.

Lord Shiva penned the Mantra Rajapada Stotram on Lord Narasimha and said if anybody recites thrice [morning, afternoon and evening] a day they will live a healthier and longer life. So everybody commence to recite the stotram in a short span.

Shiva is being treated as God in all puranas and He has no incarnations, whereas Narasimha, an animal form, who came to earth as a substitute to main God i.e. Vishnu. What is the necessity for Lord Shiva writing a song on animal form when He himself is the most powerful.

This statement proves that we, Hindus, lack logical thinking and reasoning. Jai Ho.

............ Your God, my God and all Gods bless you.
:yo: Vaagmi Sir!

I do believe that there is ONLY one Almighty but, I won't go and hang because, I pray many of Almighty's forms! :D

It is oft repeated 'fundA' that even if sugar is the basic ingredient of sweets, each one has his / her own

desire on one or more sweets; so are God / Goddess - each one wishes to pray one or more.

P.S: My Ishta Deivam is Shakthi Ganapathi and we have His temple in our colony.

Yes naturally. I don't want to be a pseuco-vaishnavite like most of the smarthas. This is due to fear psychosis.
Dear Sir,

The best path to follow in life is to live and let live! :)

So, please do not impose your views on others.

IMHO, all Gods and Goddesses are man made.
And, each one thinks his / her Ishta Deivam is the BEST!! :first:

So .......

Those who are in our dear forum for some years know that Chandru Sir thinks Lord Shiva is THE supreme. :pray2:

Hence I asked him whether he will say something great about Lord Narayana which appears in the slOkam.

BTW, one of my forum friends has given the slOkam for stauch Saivaites; I can share it if anyone wants! :)
