This article was read and noted by me in April, 1993 which I would like to share with my friends in this Forum:

MOTHER

Of all the gifts in this world, our Creator gave unto us,
The gift that tops them all to be sure, is the gift of a precious mother.
Her love's so pure, free and true
And she loves you for the "real you"
Be you a pauper, be you a King
Even by an inch, mother's love won't swing.
As a helpless babe, you came to this world
And she .... and anxious young mother,
A smile on your sweet baby face,
would lift her from one world to another.
A mother is the most treasured prize,
Far beyond gold, myrrh and frankincense,
He must have truly loved His creation.
To have made such a personal presentation
I can't imagine a world without moither,
Her sweet smile and patient eyes,
For in her smile and happiness
Does my happiness truly lie.
It's because of sweet mothers like mine,
That each morn, the Sun does rise, and the stars still shine,
For God can't personally teach us to live and love,
It's thro' a mother that He lovingly shows us how.

Dear Subramaniam,

Everything you have said here applies equally to the father too. A mother is all this and more. a father is also all this and more. A mother is articulate and demonstrative whereas a father is quite and observing most of the time. "It's because of sweet parents like mine, That each morn, the Sun does rise, and the stars still shine".

Cheers.

Yes we the father too need some recognition.
In USA when they zoom in on any player on the side line, invariably the player will say "hai mom". Then again they generally know their mom.

A Father stands no where, however and whatever he do to his children. He can have his credit ONLY if the mother gives the right impression to her children, as who the father is...

So, fathers need to take care of their children's mother properly to claim their credit from their children, without any blockages.. :)

Even if the children on their own could make their own right sense about the specialty of their father, they many not be in a position to express it, if Mother is not happy with it... :decision:

Also, even if the children on their own could make their own right sense about the greatness of their father, it probably would be too late, if mother was not happy. :grouphug:

In general and in positive sense, Children are emotionally more closer and attached to their mother right from the time they started living in her womb. It is only by the wish of a mother, a child can stay in her womb and take birth in this world. Though children love and care their father, mother always be at first and taken care of her feelings, emotions and sensitivity, on top priority.

Well, as long as children are happy with their mother and are loving and caring towards their mother AND mother is happy with her children, what more than that a father can expect from his children in return, for all the dedication he has shown and honestly performed to sustain a healthy, peaceful and harmonious family?

My mother is special to me and I owe everything that I have to her. When I say everything I include these: I am rich by the standards of India; I am smart and intelligent by the standards of the circle of friends and colleagues I move with; I am lucky by the standards of my neighbours and relatives; I am healthy by the standards of an average citizen of my age in my country etc. etc., When, in our village home, she would rush with food leaving the household task she may have at hand, to give food to the poor boy who used to come begging for food with the words “bhavathi bikshan dehi” I used to wonder why the hurry. Later when I studied Veda and when my teacher explained the meaning of “Sradhdhaya Dheyam, asradhdhaya (a)dheyam”(Give with care and don’t give with carelessness can be a rough translation) I understood my mother and her action better. There are a million such things that my mother is and I learnt all that from her. She is kindness personified.

My father is special to me and I owe everything that I have to him. He is no more. From the way he taught me swimming in the river against the current of the river in our village to the way he presented me a book with the title “Nehru Hindi AAsaan” a small book which introduced me to the language Hindi (When I was to learn a new language Hindi at my 8[SUP]th[/SUP] standard for the first time, he was concerned that I will be competing with boys who already had learnt the language. We were migrating from the village to a city at that time.) That was his way of not only showing his love and affection and concern for me but also telling me that self-esteem is very important and that I have to preserve it by taking wise timely steps. I can quote a million other things that he did to me like this. I owe you dad, everything that I am today.

It is God’s grace that I got such parents. Thank you God.

Agree with You Mr.Prasad1... we fathers should also be give due recognition for all that we do for the family. Blessed are the ones who have both Mother & Father and showering their love & affection on the children, & they in turn should also recognise and appreciate the efforts of the parents.
All people a call their land as Mother land , Except Germans, who call theirs as Fatherland!!(due recognition to father given there!!) Cheers.

hi
here in USA...single mom is every where....even in school..mother's contact number is important....our veda says....

MAATRU DEVO BHAVA...PITRU DEVO BHAVA....like wise....MAATA..PITA ..GURU...DEIVAM...deivam comes last...i heard that

god cannot come to human form...so he created MOM ....anybody can live without father....but nobody can live without MOM...

I agree that father is also important. However, you would not deny the fact that a mother is able to take care and bring her children up when her husband passes away while the father finds it next to impossible to bring his children when his wife is no more. Exceptions are always there. But in a majority of the cases, this is the position. Even in my case, my father passed away when I was about 15 years old. My mother brought us up (we are five children) very well even though she is not much educated and not earning. My mother no doubt is very special to me.
