The TB's have risen the corporate ladder on sheer merit! Let us be proud of the community! Some one wrote we are best second rate men in the world...No we are best first rate men....We may not be billionaires but we will follow the rule of the land and help the business develop deep roots and grow tall!

A comment worth quoting on this article

Som Karamchetty

That is a mischievous headline and news report. Were any of these people chosen because they were Tamil and/or because they were Brahmin by birth? They worked hard and smart and delivered results in all the positions they were in. The companies looked for wise people to run their businesses regardless of their origins. Two of those four in the report occupied positions at US companies. Even a news media would thrive if it places high performing and dedicated leaders at the top and in its ranks regardless of their birth history. Any and all Indians should be proud that these contemporaries of theirs have been providing great leadership and are serving as ideal role models for the young of India.

Hi vgane,

As a student of astrology, I find it interesting in one sense. One of the characteristics of us Brahmins is, more than any other community we worship the Sun God. We - or at least many of us - recite Gayatri mantra, offer Arghyam etc. In astrology, these are various means for strengthening the Sun in our chart. The Sun graces a person with authority, high position, good health, will power etc. IT could be that the age-old practices are still sustaining some of the practitioners.
