Dear Vijaya

I am really no expert on the subject, but I have seen this being performed in Nasik.
I have also seen this being performed at homes - Pitru Karyam for departed souls - for those
who never married during their life time.

Maybe, somebody like Bala Sir could throw more light on the subject.
