My all time fav singer.
Best performer ever.

I tried this song from different artists....

But, I seem to get attracted only to Whitney Houston....

I will always love you......

Tonight is not Raghy's drinking night. Raghy had a couple since Raghy is off work tomorrow...

Hopefully Raghy will get back tomorrow....

Raghy is signing off now with the beautiful voice of Chris Rea..... And You My Love....

Tonight, it will be Tamizh and Tamizh songs...

There was a Tool Room on the way to my school. Many Europeans worked in that Tool Room in the late 1960s and early 1970s....

As kids, we admired that company. That company had two training centres.... one in Kerala and one in Karnataka... In my early teen years it was my dream to study there... for my background any possible education beyond high school was awesome...

"பதின்ம வயதுகளின் ஆரம்பம்.... " டேய், இந்த வெள்ளைக்காரனின் டிரைனிங் ஸ்கூலில் போய் படிக்கனும்டா!" இது நான் சொன்னது." போடா!.... அந்த ஸ்கூலில் எல்லாம் இங்கிலீஷ்தாண்டா"... எங்க எதிர் வீட்டு அண்ணா சொன்னாருடா... "

During those days, out hero was 'திருவேங்கடம் '.. a milk vendor.. but young, strong and bold... I admired him ... he was like.....

I tried hard. It was my ambition to get educated in the 'foreigner's Institute'. Well, it takes an entrance test to get in that school though...

I was at this level though....

I applied to get to that school... I got an interview too!....

At the lunchtime only few us made through to the afternoon tests... I made through...

Last test was putting together a simple machine, copying an assembled model set on the nearby table.... Last one minute to go, I realised I assembled the handle on the left side, instead of the right side as was in the model... " What happened here?" asked the White man.. I was shivering... I decided I was done.. So, didn't care anymore ( I was studying BSc. Physics 1st year anyway).. I smiled and said to him " It is meant for left-handers!"... he just smiled....

About 4 weeks later, I got a mail inviting me to join that school... I felt....

That training school was not easy though. It was quite hard.

Two things got most of us through... the first factor in our favour was, our youth. We were young strong and we had nothing to loose... the second thing were the local girls.. for some reason, we really believed, the local girls knew of our performance... I never stopped to think about the logic.. I honestly believed local girls knew about me.... in any case, we went through our training like....

I eventually completed my training... with a rank too!

Guess, where did I get my first job?.... Yes, in the very same Tool Room I used admire... only, this time I walked in there as a trained technician... Wow!... Here is the Tool Room, I used watched from outside with my tongue hanging out with awe, looking at all the workers as demigods.....

I was walking in that Tool Room as the top tradie... I watched other workers watching us with awe....

I was barely 20.... I couldn't ask for more.... I felt like...

That was the story up to my age barely 20....

Now I am 60!...

There is not much of a change in my life presentation... It can still be explained by a song....

It is a sweet life... mostly..

In fact, the way I see this world is....

Last Saturday was an outing with the team members from work. We all congregated at ' Wet & Wild' in Gold Coast.

I tried to give the slip... but, they wouldn't have none of it. I had to strip to my singlet and trunk....

Once I got wet, my singlet stuck to my torso like a second skin...

" Look at you Raghy! you have a six pack!" said Becky, the girl from my cubicle at work... " I don't have a six pack.. I have just four" I said.. "But still it sure looks good" said Kath.... The thing is, any self respecting Aussie is working hard to keep a good physique... Since I am a senior citizen, most girls can make fun of me and get away with that.... I am very conscious about my weight and my pelvis...

That reminded me... Once I said to my friend " ஊசி போல ஒடம்பு இருந்தா, தேவை இல்ல பார்மஸி".. my friend said " Raghy, show me your six pack body"........ It was funny.... But that connection is not the same anymore.....

But it's all the same, reminded me that song....

I got an email to say I was enrolled in a two days course...

I went to my boss.... Zoe, are you sure I am off for two days to this course? I see about half a dozen names from our team in this list... with all these clinicians away, this place will be in s***!..

She said.. Yes Raghy, everyone has to go. You go this time... I went.

I noticed, the presenter, a clinical psychologist talked more and more about alcohol addiction... After about 2 hours I asked him why he was talking so much about alcohol addiction.. About 20 or so clinicians from the building where I worked giggled... the presenter said " Raghy, this is the interviewing technique for the people with alcohol and drug addiction... why so many clinicians laugh?".. I didn't bother to reply..

We analyised some songs to identify messages...

Oh well, Amy William died. Some say it was drug overdose..

There were more songs in that course. I picked up more messages from Pink...

The course was designed to pick up cues and messages from the clients... I picked up..

This was a hard song to analyse...

The singer was quite positive though..

We picked up as many messages as possible..

( I am not boring with you guys with the analysis made in that session.... but, if anyone likes to know about them..or ask for the analysis.. I am happy to provide the analysis for each song....)

This is inspired by " How to control Anger" thread.

Anger is an emotion very similar to sadness, happiness, euthymic etc.... In any case, you got to feel that emotion...

that is this song...

There is a massive issue with Raghy.

You know, nomatter how much you pamper a black pig, it will eventually end up eating the waste...

No matter how much you try to reform Raghy he will end up listening to... kind of confrontational songs..

Like this.

I am pretty old. I have come across many interesting persons. I have moved away from the place I called " Home" from birth.

I don't see those interesting persons anymore. I miss them.

Some of them, I miss more than the others....

I was searching for romantic songs....

I listened to a few and kept rejecting them.... then I said to myself.. " Raghy, nothing can be more romantic than a song in your mother tongue... there were many to choose from"....

Psychosis... I think it is a privilege to open the mind of a psychotic person.. I was stunned to listen to one of my client after he was encouraged to open up.. he trusts me...

On that note....

Someone send me a PM to ask why I am posting only old or older songs... I said to him.. " I am 60. I know just old or older songs"...

So, I like old songs like this.. So?

This is not a romantic song unless you romanticise turkey buzzard and arid country...

You do?.... then for you, this would be a romantic song...

She said she was worried about my health....

I said, I already made it to 60.... I reminded her my father or fore fathers barely made it to 70.... I explained her I am doing well for the last single digit years....

She can't have any of that... She said I can't act the way I do now... I asked her what do you mean... she said...

I really wanted to post more English songs... But, since I was told I can't have anymore booze as much as I have now, I ended up listening to songs connected to booze....

I found out, Tamizh songs are much better than English songs....

Like this.....

I conclude this evening with one more old song .... kind of connected with booze... in Hindi... Sorry, I am an old man who can think of an old song only.... one more Madhavi....
