12 cylinders per year are more than enough even for a joint family, if gas is wisely used.

I am against the concept of an economic model where about 50% of population has to get subsidies on one head or other.

we have foisted a high cost economy on a poor nation in the name of free enterprise.unless there is a change in this concept

of globalisation and integration with world economy, we will be at the mercy of world events such as greek crisis, american

interest rate changes.we need barriers in every segment of economy that our not so well offs are protected. will an

alternative ideology emerge to put a brake on a mindless govt.

Subsidy is gone! okay good act. The well to do and affluent can afford to buy LPG at market rates. But one question. Is the subsidy is the only thing eats up the government revenue? where does Freebies enjoyed by our MPs and MLAs account for. Heavily subsidized canteen in Parliament, Free train/flight passes, free accommodation, free passes for each and every function/sports events, free this free that everything is free. Despite all that the Delhi Government has given a 400 times hike in their pay and the center is set to follow same for the MPs. And they call themselves our servants. If you have so much of affection or service why not on your own cost. Why on cost of Government exchequer? Despite all that how many days our parliament or other temples of law making functions? Even on those limited days of their function does they are allowed to do normal business? As long as common people like us are there to bear the costs who cares?.......

Fixing the annual income for determining the eligibility for subsidy is not a wise decision. The annual income means, declared income. For this, salary earners are the worst hit. All others, who earn income other than through salary may not declare their actual income, but will be eligible for subsidy - which is unfair. I have heard that among doctors, only 30 % are tax payers (If it true, really bad). But, I am for subsidy cut for all MLAs, MPs, Ministers etc., who are getting everything cheap, while there is a regular pay / perk hike...

We can make a small change in our parliamentary system. On any Debate, the general public can take part of the debate, and should be allowed to occupy a small part of the bench and also should allow from gallery. Or anybody from the public gallery can raise their hand and come inside the well and put forth their argument. Then these members will come to know what the general public feel and wishes to say to them live. Also the statement by such public should be considered sacred and any word they utter inside the parliament will be above all law. In such a situation, there wont be any need to go for a movie. We can see all channels tuned into parliament live only. Also there would be great demand for 24x7 parliament from the public for their entertainment purpose.

hi

subsidy is also like our reservation policy....meant for somebody...enjoying by somebody......the grassroots ppl always poor...

everybody exploit them...either in the name of religion/caste or freebies to get vote...middle class always IN TRISANGU..

neither poor nor rich....so always middle class gets DOUBLE EDGE SWORDS......

Apart from salary of an individual, double income group should also be taken into account for providing subsidy.

Refering to post #6 by "asadu" although it is a very good suggestion, we all know such a thing will never happen. Only the elected representatives, not the people who elect them have any voice in Parliament/assembley. But we have a stronger medium, the social media to express our concernes and should it to the maximum

# 4...With just 1 term, our MLA/MP's earn life long pension too despite most being scoundrels! Sad state of affairs!!

If a person had been a MLA for one term and a MP in one another term, he is eligible for any one of the pensions only.
Straight forward persons will opt for the higher quantum only.

But many of such category ,receive both the MLA & MP pensions through different bank branches at two different places.
