Many thanks for the info AM and Vgane. Will now try to find if the cholas were associated / derived / had any links with indo-aryan speaking tribes....Unfortunately, there is no historical proof on the origins of cholas. Only a limited understanding can be derived from puranas and brahmanas (texts) as here -- but the savara are south-central dravidian and sora are austroasiatic mundari speakers...so wonder if they (both) received some sorta input or gene inflow from indo-aryan speakers naturally resulting in co-mingling of cultures causing absorption of deities into the non-indoaryan speaking folks....
