Dear Krish ji,

I dont think any community is in bondage.

Some people just like to continue a set pattern of lifestyle which they feel would be the best for them....isn't choosing to be orthodox also a form of freedom?
freedom to have an orthodox lifestyle ok. if older generation wills it. what about next generation . their freedom of choice of lifestyle. why thrust orthodoxy on others

didnt I say its freedom to even be orthodox..likewise its also freedom of choice to be heterodox.

Actually its best to be a blend of both..like being heterodox when dealing with one own's life but being orthodox when dealing with situations that warrants for it(especially when dealing with others)

So never confine ourselves to any rigid lifestyle..cos we might not know when we might decide to switch modes.

great wisdom. switch from one mode to another depending on need and convenience. keep others on tenterhooks what you will do next. wow.

Yup..you are right....it really helps becos others will be always guessing what you will be up to next and that totally disables others from taking us for granted cos they will never be able to know us in the true sense.

anonymity is fine and one can enjoy a sense of freedom in posting. in most relationships ,people do not like to commit totally even with close relations. this is only a forum for tossing a few ideas and why should someone know us in the truest sense. your honesty makes you a bit vulnerable and perhaps you can pull a few fast ones to keep people guessing. nobody will take you for granted

I just did! I just pulled a fast one! You actually thought I am honest!LOL

Ha Ha Ha...so keep guessing!

R ji you r more honest than most. and open in stating your views and convictions on various topics on a take it or leave it basis. even if you are not honest ,let us believe you are.

Dear Krish ji,

Sometimes I am not honest..you know when?

When at times I want to write @#$%* as a reply but due to rules and regulations I sugar coat my words!LOL

So you see one can not be 100% honest all the while.

Dear Renuka,

Honesty is not the wisest policy now because honesty has lost value. You need to replace it with a higher version.

Sravna..so which one is it going to be?

1)Lower Honesty

2)Higher Honesty

3)Perceived Honesty

4)Projected Honesty

5)Ultimate Honesty

6)None of the above becos in Reality nothing exists.

Dear Renuka,

What I mean is you practice honesty only if it doesn't harm others and harm you. So try to be honest to the above principle.

:pound:

I logged in after a long time and got to know many weird stuffs!!

Nope..its not with sarcasm that Sravna has been ordained Swami Mayananda Saraswati..its become Mataji has decided to open an Ashram and Swami Mayananda's services are needed.

Join in the fun..may be we can make you the Love Guru!LOL

Raviji,

I think at some point you were also in Mataji's ashram, were you not? Maybe you also got converted to a different guru at some point, like some forum members?

Nothing wrong, change is a constant in life.

Dear Biswa Ji,

Pranams to you.

You see everyone comes to this world and then leaves..we bring nothing and we leave with nothing..so its the same way with any ashram..once its time up we need to go!

Mataji

No, no; we bring our karma suitcase and leave with a heavier or lighter suitcase. Don't we all pack more clothes than needed when on tour for 'just in case', but often acquire more junk yielding to temptation.

Often we gift or sell to innocent friends and relatives what we don't need; how nice it will be if we can bequeath our papa karmas to others!

Dear Biswa Ji,

Pranams to you.

there is a nice ghazal -aaj jaane ki zid na karo-do not insist on going away today
we are waiting for you . another day will not come when we can meet again
there are only a few good moments we can be together
placed as we are burdened with other works
play from you tube farida khanums ghazal
once its time up - we need to go away-how true

Dear Krish ji,

I am not fan of Ghazals or even Carnatic Music..both make me feel sleepy.

So you see the lyrics are fine...we can remix it

Lets remix and change the lyrics 1st:

do not insist on going away today...I cant be without you..

Background singers sing "you aint goin' anywhere..you aint goin' anywhere"

we are waiting for you..ohhhh sure I dooooo...

I lose track of time honey.. another day will not come when we can meet again.

there are only a few good moments we can be together..dont fear my love..those moments will never die

Background singers: Never die..Never die.

we are burdened with other works...thats life babe..but still I make time for my woman

once its time up - we need to go away...once the love is over get out of my life..ohhh ohhh

Background singers: better get out..better get out.

Renukaji,
You know I am your fan, but I think you need to think the consequences of your words.
I know your new incarnation you have different perspective on life. You are entitled to it.
But you are (cleverly or deliberately) misinterpreting Hinduism. When someone reaches a position in life the words are not cheap. For instance you as a Medical doctor prescribe a home remedy it carries more wait than an ordinary person giving the same advice.

Let us not confuse people by telling partial truth or untruth. We really do not know what we bring and with what we leave this birth. This birth and death cycle is for the body and atma has many lifes and deaths. That is basis of Karma theory.

Karma is a concept in Hinduism which explains causality through a system where beneficial effects are derived from past actions , creating a system of actions and reactions throughout a soul's reincarnated lives forming a cycle of rebirth. The causality is said to be applicable not only to the material world but also to our thoughts, words, actions and actions that others do under our instructions. When the cycle of rebirth comes to an end, a person is said to have attained moksha, or salvation from samsara. Not all incarnations are human. The cycle of birth and death on earth is said to be formed from 8.4 million forms of life, but only in human life is an exit from this cycle possible.

I fully agree with Sarangji's post. I hope you understand my post.

??? What happened yaar?

My reply to Biswa was a light hearted one..not a serious one.

My serious question is in the Layman reads Rig Veda thread which no one has answered yet...hoping some person will answer me.

So far I think its pretty obvious when I am kidding and when I am not.

BTW we come with nothing and go with nothing technically...no where in my post I mentioned about Hinduism..all I was saying we come with nothing and go with nothing.

So Prasad ji..where did I confuse anyone in my reply cos I did not talk about religion at all.
Now where in my post the word Hinduism is mentioned.

Coming to the fact that you feel I am deliberately or cleverly misinterpreting Hinduism..this is not the first time I have been told this..so I am kind of used to this...no big deal yaar.

regards

Note: even in Padaiyappa movie Rajini was singing that we come empty handed and we leave empty handed.
