Sad.No wonder we lose 1lak people every year in accidents.And life moves on as usual.Noone bothers about it.

this is called DEMO CRAZY.....FREEDOM WITHOUT RESPONSIBILITY....STILL MERA BHARAT MAHAAAN.... last month when

i visited india....the car driver ....well known to me and he is my neighbor in chennai.....he was going very fast in

red light near guindy....we were coming from airport to thiruvanmiyur....i said to him to stop in red light....he never

stopped any red lights....i was really frighten...he said nothing to worry...these are very common in chennai.....

even in USA....we stop all railroad crossings and every simple stop sign......

In Chennai vehicle population has increased considerably. On the one hand, both in two wheeler and four wheeler sectors, all the brands with keen competition, produce different models with unique features to attract customers. On the other hand, financial institution do offer packages with ‘0’ initial payment and ‘0’ processing charges, etc etc. So possessing a vehicle which was dream, has become a reality for even middle class. When considering the growth of population of vehicles, the proposals of widening of existing roads, and formation of new roads, bridges, etc are not in proportion.


Besides, the drivers who rule the road, do commit all sorts of traffic violations, rash and negligent driving, jumping signal, overtaking in Bridges, crossing yellow line, etc etc..

Tamil Nadu tops in the list of accidents in India. Govt agencies are identifying the accident prone areas and taking effective action to reduce the accidents. But the fact remains that unless the road users co-operate with Govt. we cannot get better results.

These students, who indulge in traffic violations in India, are found to be very traffic obedient when they go aboard. One will simply point out the ineffectiveness of the enforcing agencies. What happen to road users’ self-discipline?
