True status of TB boys.

I have a relative TB-NB inter caste boy 30 yrs highly educated facing this predicament of finding a match.

He was lamenting that even a top 67 yrs old congress leader from MP could find a young girl and he has to float around without a match

tamilnadu is too caste-ist . any one with a NB tag is summarily rejected by TB parents who want only pure brahmin boys -

I do not know if not having this tag is a curse.

A nice short film. Enjoyed watching it. Thanks P J Sir!

It is not only tambram boys who suffer! My neighbor, NB lady talks to me through the jally fixed over our short compound wall.

Today suddenly she told me this:

உங்களுக்குத் தெரிஞ்ச நல்ல பொண்ணு இருந்தாச் சொல்லுங்க. பிராமின்ஸா இருந்தாக் கூடத் தேவலை. (!!!)

பொ
ண்ணு நான்வெஜ் சமச்சாப் போதும்! Howzaat :brick: ???

What is so hard to get a chick?

In my college almost every guy could get a girlfriend.

Somehow Lovvu happened.

Even the nerdy guys by final year had got engaged thru arranged marriage (by parents)

During internship so many nerd guys got married.

There was a guy in my class who was nick named seal becos he used to laugh like a seal!

He was also short and his eyes looked like a seals eyes..even he got hitched thru arranged marriage.

He actually got a beautiful wife who was an accountant.

So what is so hard yaar to get a chick?

Stories of more than 2 decades ago, of the boys and girls born in the year 1974, especially when there was no much IT boom, BPO's etc..

Today, things are totally different.

Correction..I am 1970 born just a few years older than you.

BTW if boys cant get girls..where are the girls?

Who are the girls marrying?

In arranged marriages , when parents and off springs agree on the ground rules on what will be minimum requirements and what they will compromise on,and stick to it

such marriages are easy to finalise fast.

mostly , when this does not happen it gets into an endless quest for a suitable match.

most people do not have self perception and aim for dream boy/girl and family and overshoot and get summarily rejected by the other party.

also parents and offspring often work at cross purposes rejecting the choices of each other.

there is no reason why people should not get a match.

there are lots of dysfunctional families which break up on the issue of marriage with childen defying parents or parents pushing their choices on children with bad results

such families are increasing in numbers.

what is common is TB girls marrying other castes and TB boys staying increasingly unmarried.

one sees lots of men in age groups of 30 -40 plus still hanging around and girls in relationships crossing caste and religion boundaries in desperation as their biological

clocks are ticking faster than men.

it is painful to see this happening.

only TB boys have to find a solution

The parents in most families have hung up on boys and let their boys fend for themselves as they see no harm that they are not married

there is a very nice heartwarming tamil book by perumal murugan called KANGANAM. it narrates the difficulty of a kongu velalar farmer in rural kongunadu, to find a bride... the struggles, the shame and the disappointments. very well written.. i wuold give it 4 *.

i have a feeling this phenomenon is widespread among all communities in india today.

Dear Kunjuppu Sir,

A few minutes back I was searching for the thread you posted on Kanganam. But could not locate it. :)

Dear TBS Sir,

It is 'iru kOdugaL' thathhuvam! To make a line appear shorter, draw a longer line!!

No girl wants to settle for a low profile guy! So, the guys should work hard to achieve very high standard
or look ONLY for girls who are much below their level in education, looks and status! :decision:

why cannot have a relationship of equals or almost equals in age , academic accomplishments and salaries besides good looks?

It will be a nice friendship.

there are many like this .

there are details of many accomplished men in 30-40 age group in matrimonial sites

these are people whose expectations did not match the availability in marriage market place

it is the law of life that those who refuse to bend even a little to accomodate others and not compromise when it is a necessity suffer more.
