Yes P J Sir! This is known as 'vitta kuRai; thotta kuRai'.

When Chithraveena maestro Sri Ravikiran was two and half years old, there were shows to prove that he could identify

many rAgams. He had 'mazhalai' and told 'AmapiyA' for RAmapriyA and was asking for chocolates every now and then!

People said that he is reincarnation of his grandfather GOtuvAdhyam Narayana Iyengar. :)

P.S: GOtuvAdhyam is renamed Chithraveena by Sri. Ravikiran.
