Regular feature in newsreading

I hope good number of our members must be watching-hearing newsreading in SUN TV channel. It is generally before the status of precious metals' prices. Somewhere there is a house-breaking and robbery in which money and valuables are spirited away by unknown persons or marma nabarkal. It is almost over a year I am watching this. Needless to say there has never been reaction news. Some unknown people are losing but why this feature is a very regular occurrence. Or is it just an acknowledgement report by newspaper as well as law and order machinery? Very intriguing for people living away from TN!

It is a normal trend for the two major parties in T N to throw mud on each other!

I am reminded of a joke!

Two men were accusing each other for their mistakes, in public. A man watching

this fun (??) approached them and coolly said, 'Thanks for introducing yourselves!'

May be it is an electronic propaganda, but I was intrigued at the recurrence of such thefts. Notwithstanding the warring major parties, I think it requires an analysis by local criminal experts. The two parties have their own coffers and have their own avenues to fill them up. I am afraid the people of TN are being taken for a ride because of the indifference of the 2 parties. And law and order is a state subject.

Have you noticed the funny way in which the news is read, ie without diction or respect for the 'full stop'? It appears to be a trade mark of only Sun TV. Jaya, Pudhiya Thalamurai and MakkaL, all appear to read their news normally. Whereas in Sun, it appears, as if the tele prompter is pulled away, midst of the newsreading, and the reader appears to chase the words Do you feel the same?

Btw, I found Makkal TV, inspite of being a mouthpiece of PMK, has the best Tamil and most useful if not relevant news. If you discount the PMK propaganda part. What do you think? Thank you.

Yes you are right. For best reading or hearing of News including the contents, Podhigai comes first. Be that as it may, why the thefts are so regularly reported?

Probably thefts are the only news fit enough to be reported.

Podhigai news readers look like the aam admi they are talking to.

In some other channels news readers look like new brides.

Some other news readers imitate the news readers of the

west and the north India in their dress and hair style

but when they speak in Tamil it looks and sounds so odd!!!

News about lonely old couple attacked/ murdered helps old couples living in remote places, or even in Flats/or homes to take precautionary steps to safe guard themselves; thefts / chain snatching news, house breaking news helps others to take precautionary steps.

Nowadays flat owners prefer to have Gurkas, or some sort of security around their compound.
