It was a Mohali-based firm's subsidiary in Tunisia which was used to route kickbacks worth around Rs 140 crore (28 million euros).
The said Rs 140-crore kickback amount was paid to Indian government officials, politicians and middlemen in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam, according to a report in TOI.

The above-mentioned facts have been disclosed in the chargesheet that was submitted in a Milan court on April 4.

Reportedly, AgustaWestland had allegedly signed a contract with IDS Tunisia, a subsidiary of Mohali-based IDS Infotech, for delivering software.
Interestingly, one of the contract's conditions was a monthly payment of 510,000 euros or Rs 3.14 crore irrespective of the software billings.
