REVOLUTIONARY NEW BATTERIES CAN CHARGE UP IN 2 MINUTES AND CAN LAST UPTO 20 YEARS

Look at your Smartphone and compare it to a Phone from 10 years ago. We have improved exponentially in the Screens, Processors and Sensors used, but in the Process, we have taken a step back in the Battery Department.
Phones used to be able to deliver a Battery Life of Weeks, and now they barely last a day. Now it is time to reverse this change. To bring Batteries back in the game.
And Scientists from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University have not only brought Batteries back, but back with a bang.
Due to a change in the Materials of the Anode (Negative) from Graphite to Titanium Dioxide Gel, they sped up the reactions within the Battery, due to which the Batteries can be charge to upto 70% within 20 minutes.
This also results in the Battery lasting much longer, around 10,000 Charging Cycles, roughly equating to 20 Years, which is much better than the current crop’s 500 charging cycles.
The Researchers see it appearing in Consumer Devices in around 2 years.
“With our nanotechnology, electric cars would be able to increase their range dramatically with just five minutes of charging, which is on par with the time needed to pump petrol for current cars,” Chen Xiaodong, Associate Professor of Nanyang Technological University said
They are looking at only Electric Cars at the moment. As these Batteries will be needed to be thrown out less, they are more environment friendly.
