From time immemorial, there has been a conflict between the believers and nonbelievers and cross over between the two has also been happening since days yore. Hindutva and their other agencies will lose whatever little sympathy and respect, they have gained and they will become a laughing stock. Try to convince the other side by arguments and logic instead of resorting to agitations and arson. Atheists have as much right to preach their principles and theories as theists, provided they do not indulge in violence, vulgarity and vituperation.

In the name of both, spreading hatred is condemnable. Theists are not all theists and atheists are not all atheists.
 
s really a matter of shame that even after nearly sixty nine years of independence, India continues to be in the lowest rung of nutrition and ranks 97 out of 118, the nations much below us being mostly the poor nations of Africa. But the fact that Pakistan and Afganistan are ranked below us cannot be a consolation . It is a common sight to see beggars and the poor picking the waste food thrown in the drain and feeding themselves and their children with it. Freedom and all tall talks have little relevance in their life. They need some wholesome and safe food. It is indeed a gigantic task ahead. When are we going to relieve our children from hunger and starvation?

Saraswathi river is no more a mythical river. It has mention in ancient Sanskrit texts/ mantras and was pooh poohed as something of a mythology. Even as early as 1991, its existence has been highlighted by David Frawley in his book on "Gods, Sages and Kings , but there are a group of historians and politicians in our country who would not accept the fact since, it doesn't suit their interests. Now that the existence of the river has been scientifically established, our historical past sullied by the earlier historians need to be revised. I hope the expert committee will go through the findings and endorse it, based in which there is a need to reassess our earlier history.

"Often we will hear an older person say, 'I can hear you, I just can't understand you,'" said Anderson. "This research gives us new insight into why that is the case."


This eroding of brain function appears to be typical for older adults and a natural part of the aging process.


Simple courtesies can help, too. Since being able to see as well as hear someone speaking helps with speech processing, it's a good idea to look directly at older adults and make sure you have their attention before talking with them.


"The older brain just drops part of the speech signal, even if the ears captured it all just fine," said Simon. "When someone can see you speaking, instead of only hearing you, their visual system can sometimes make up for that loss."

The above study suggests how the hearing disabled people should be handled. As one suffering from this disabilty, I agree with the article in toto and request the hearing blessed to treat the hearing disabled with love and patience without casting a glance of contempt at them.

Dengue patients require immediate attention..Do their blood test and check platelet count...In case of low count do a platelet transfusion..It is a life saver for thrombocytomenia

don't bother, people in western UP are capable of finding some way out to curtail this 'shortage'! The supply artificial Milk in thousands of liters, will it be a problem for them to create artificial cow urine??
 
Women, irrespective of their status and position have been quietly undergoing personal sexual assaults over the years not only in India but also in an advanced countries like US. In India, the degradation of women, their being stalked, groped, molested and raped is on the increase and this may be because more women nowadays come forward to report such matters which was all along suppressed for fear of social stigma. Punishments might mitigate the atrocities on women to some extent, but degradation of moral values over the years in the name of modernisation and progress is one of the most important factors, the other one being the general belief all over the world that men are free to do anything they wish against women, the typical attitude made explicit by Trump. The world is moving towards gender equality, but until men are made to believe that morals are common to both, this evil will continue. Unfortunately some women equate their promiscuous behaviour to emancipation of women and this aspect is supported and highlighted by films and the media.

So the best way to decide the awardee seems to be to give awards to people only after their death, thus making dead sure that there can be no more charges against him possible. Another advantage in presenting awards posthumously is that no awardee will ever return the award later on on some grounds or other under some external threat or influence as happened sometime back in our country. This avoids offering awards to time servers and treacherous people.

But what bothers me is that the person is sentenced to death and also to pay a fine of Rs 5,00,000/-. Suppose he doesn't pay the fine, will he be hanged twice?
