[h=1]Rumor: Swatch has cracked the Smartwatch, with one you don’t need to charge[/h] February 5, 2015 Kishore Ganesh Leave a comment
Smartwatches, currently aren’t all that useful, and are more luxury items than items that you actually need, such as the Smartphone. The main problem plaguing Smartwatches currently is the Battery Life: Many only last a day or two, while real Watches last years, which is why we are reluctant to switch over to a Smartwatch.
According to Bloomberg, Swatch has the solution with a Smartwatch you don’t need to charge. Not for days, not for weeks. Of course, it has all the functionalities you expect from a Smartwatch, including Internet Connectivity, but it won’t run Android Wear, so expecting developer Support is wishful thinking.
Swatch has confirmed on its part that it is indeed working on such a Smartwatch.
We don’t know the tech behind it, or other details such as release Date and Price. However, once it gets released, we hope other Smartwatch Manufacturers can adapt this tech for the Wearable Industry to advance further, and reach widespread adoption.
What do you think? Will this create demand for Wearables?
