The following details which were earlier posted in this Forum are given which you may find
useful:

Pl get down at Karur railway station (about 170 KM from Chennai). From Karur you can take a cab or go by local town bus to Nerur.
The buses go from Karur central bus stand. Hotel Valluvar is one good hotel at Karur. It is just opposite to Karur Bus Stand and Telephone Number is 04324234411. The temple is in Nerur village and you may have to take a Car or Auto to reach the place. 10 KM distance - may take 30 minutes because of the road conditions. There are many other good hotels also in Karur which
you may enquire after getting down at Karur.
There are also some local buses plying in this route.

The jeeva samadhi of Sri Sadasiva Brahmendra is in the temple in Nerur. The temple is known as Sri Kasi Viswanathar temple...KINDLY DO NOT GO TO THE MUTT there..... the saiva mutt and sadasiva brahmendra have no connection at all..
You contact Sri N.S. Narasimhan, Secretary, Nerur Sri Sadashiva Brahmendra Sabha and his mobile No.95439 89593.
You may also contact Sri H.Ravi and his mobile no.98423 51430.

River Kaveri flows very near..it is about 1 furlong from there..
In Nerur, you can also visit Shri Angalamman Temple which was recently renovated and Kumba Abhishekam was done some three years back

For visiting Nerur Angallamman temple you may contact Mr Thangavelu - Mobile No 09944025246 or Shri Nataraja Poosari – Mobile No.09597909160.

Have a happy journey and good darshan. All the Best.

Sadashiva Brahmendra at nerur

Dear Sri Ramesh,

I wish to add this to the valuable information provided by Sri Subrahmanyam. That is the Athishtanam is closed after the uchikala (noon) pooja and open only in the evening. Hence it is better to plan the visit in the morning or in the evening.

Wish you all the best.

Regards,
Brahmanyan,
Bangalore.

Dear Shri Subrahmanyam,

The above temple is our Kula Deiyvam and all of our family members participated in the Kumba Abhishekam. Even now every year they celeberate the day at Nerur and I got the oppourtunity to participate in current year Jan. IN the temple you may come across the details of donors for various items including for Kumba Abhishekam and Silver Kavasam to Shri Angalamman by Cuddalore Meenakshi Ammal & sons. With very humble manner I would like to inform you that I am one of the sons.

I am really very glad that some one mentioned about the Shri Angalamman Temple in this site. By any chance is it Kula Deivam for your family also ?

Dear Shri Venkat

Yes! Shri Angalamman is our Kuladaivam. Unfortunately, I could not participate in Kumbhabhishekam. Very recently i.e. on 16th July this year, me and my family members had darshan of the Deity on the eve of Aadi Masa Pirappu and contributed our mite.

Very nice of you to have donated certain items for the Amman.

Dear Shri Subrahmanyam,

Indeed it is a pleasant surprise that through this forum I could come across a member who is having Sri Angalamman as Kula Deivam. Every year I make it a point to visit the place during our return journey from Sabari Malai during March. All my borhers are regular visitor to this place. May be some time, God willing, we will try to meet there.

Thanks for your response.

Hi
Has someone attended the aradhana of sadasiva brahmendra either at manamadurai or nerur? Who is managing the aradhana? is it by brahmins or otherwise? Can anyone recommend which aradhana would be worth attending?
By the way have anybody in the forum able to trace the adishtanam in karachi? Does this still exist?

The Aradhana for Sri Sadasiva Brahmendra is conducted annually at Nerur at his Adhistanam.
Those who are fortunate get an opportunity to attend the festival. Please try to visit the
Adhistanam at Nerur and you will feel the bliss which is situated on the banks of Cauvery.
It is around 18 Kms from Trichy.
