It has become well-known that Samsung is looking for ways towards reducing its reliance on Google. In phones, it has its own OS, but it is still impossible to wade of Google due to dominance of Google over the Smartphones Market.
In Wearables, Samsung has one running Tizen, but it is clear that Google’s Android Wear Platform will dominate the Market. Eager to carve itself a place, it seems now Samsung is more strongly targeting the Television.
It has announced that all new Smart TVs will run Tizen from now on, enabling its TVs to become more connected, and integrating better into a network of Devices. It can receive files via WiFI Direct, and can even stream Live TV to your Screen when the TV is off if you have a Samsung Device (via Bluetooth LE).
Out of the box, it will support the Playstation Now Cloud Streaming Service, enabling you to play PS4 Games if you have a reasonably fast Internet Connection.
We will know more details at CES, where Samsung will showcase some of its new TVs.
