Unbelievable. How could some one cut a 15 year old Sandalwood tree in Lal bagh Gardens and carry them off out side? That too the tree was located near the main gate in front of the director’s office. Please read the full story in the following Web-link.
Sandalwood tree smuggled out of Lalbagh gardens

Brahmanyan,
Bangalore.
hi sir,

there is tamil proverb...VELIYE VILAYE THINNATHU....may be some insider in this act....who knows?.....sandal wood smuggling is very

famous even in thirumala hills.....recently semmara kattai was smuggled from thirumala forests.....easy money is the reason...

One of my relatives had eight very tall Ashoka trees near the compound wall of her house. She got them removed within four hours,

by a group of four people, who cut them into pieces and transported in a lorry! Even now we can't believe the speed at which the work

was executed! So, cutting and removing one tree is not at all a big deal for the miscreants!
