Sani Peyarchi 2025 - Need clarification

Before writing, I would like to state that we are believers in Astrology.
Modern day science merely assumes the Big Bang (the period before this assumed event, they cannot explain). With the Big Bang as ground zero, everything else is purported to fall in place. No disrespect to science but there are things Science just cannot explain.
Therefore if you do not believe in Astrology its ok, but the clarification I seek is from those who follow Astrology and have some belief.
I am aware that there are two systems of Panchangam - the 'verbal' and the 'written' calculations and they tend to differ sometimes.
However for Sani Peyarchi the commanding sthalam being Thirunallar, I checked and they are saying no Peyarchi in 2025, only in 2026.
Can anyone here provide insight - whether there is Sani Peyarchi this month - as a lot of people are casting on social media or none as per Thirunallar.
Thank you. Srinivasan

Shani Peyarchi will start from the new year onwards. The rasi or zodiac sign will be meena rasi / Pisces. This transit is for 2.5 years.

The confusion probably stems from the fact that during this period Saturn will transit into Aries (adhi saram) for a short stint. I hope this clears your doubts.

Can you please simplify - when does this start? March this year or March next year?

depending on the panchangam used, it may be different, but the idea is that from 27 Feb to the end of March of this year. Tamil New Year falls in the second week of April, so essentially, by the time the Tamil New Year begins, Saturn would have transited to Meena rasi.

I hope that clarifies your doubts! Let me know if you have anything else you would like clarified.

Anyone is entitled to believes. This post is only about a comment that is not correct and not with the main question which others are responding. In particular the quote from opening post is this

"Modern day science merely assumes the Big Bang (the period before this assumed event, they cannot explain). With the Big Bang as ground zero, everything else is purported to fall in place. No disrespect to science but there are things Science just cannot explain."

Response:

No real scientist claims to have a complete explanation for everything. Science seeks to answer the "how" in a given context, rather than the "why." In fact, the deeper something is researched, the more questions arise. The Big Bang is a hypothesis, and nothing is definitively known about the moments immediately following this event. Speculations exist about events occurring 10^-36 seconds after the Big Bang, but theories like inflation are now being re-evaluated or disproven. Much of this information is available to provide laypeople with a general understanding. (I am not from a scientific background.)

There are also hypotheses suggesting an infinite number of universes. However, the existence of a hypothesis does not make it correct. Some individuals in the field of science treat their work like a belief system, akin to religion, and bring their own ideologies into their interpretations. However, such individuals are not representative of real scientific inquiry.

So, what is science? It is essentially the scientific method—a process of investigation. Interestingly, science is increasingly aligning with the idea that time is an illusion, and there is no such thing as "the future." This conclusion has also been explored through reasoning in Vedanta studies.

Astrology, on the other hand, is based on beliefs, like other superstitions. It persists because of individual experiences, but it fails to meet the rigor of scientific methods. In my view, astrology is detrimental to society, though I do not expect agreement from its believers. That said, this is not the topic here. My comment is solely intended to clarify misconceptions about science and its scope.

Thanks for the response but doubts still remain
1. We follow Pambu panachangam - for us when does the transit happen - confusion because some say that as per Vagya panchangam the transit is only in 2026

I do accept that the method is the strength of Science. Otherwise it is only fluff. Physical reality itself is an illusion though it is not ignorable by those who are bound in it. The truths that science find out therefore have a shaky basis in reality however rigorous the method is.

The best approach would be to align with spiritual knowledge and try to validate it with scientific method.

Some people are very adept at using fluff to their advantage. That itself is an art and science. They understand psychology of people and play with it. Otherwise real substance is zero.

I am unsure about that... If there's an online or physical copy of the panchangam it should have these details. If not, please ask an elder at home or a trusted astrologer for the same.
