Microsoft had recently announced the next Version of Windows, which due to the sheer number of ways it was improved compared to the catastrophe that was Windows 8, justified the skipping of ‘9’ and going straight to ’10 in the Name, thus signifying a new beginning.
Early rumors of Windows 10 predicted that Cortanta, the intelligent AI made by Microsoft that made its debut on Windows Phones, would be present in Windows 10, but no mention of Cortana was made at the launch event.
It seems that Cortana on the PC would be just as versatile and powerful as its mobile counterpart, but currently, it has a basic UI, which would probably be fixed soon.
Another factor is that Windows Phone hasn’t been able to gobble up large areas of the Market, and is treading on thin Ground. Windows, by stark contrast holds almost all of the market, meaning that Cortana on Windows 10 can be used by many, many more people.
Cortana is currently the only Mobile Assistant that comes integrated into a Desktop Operating System. Google Now comes the closest, with the ability to search using your Voice in Chrome.
So what do you think? Will Microsoft’s Decision to unify devices and platforms usinfg one’s Voice is secure and would it be successful
