Ha Ha Ha..

BTW if it was a wife that was holding the bridge for her husband she would have nagged him "Cant you see I am holding the bridge for you? I do so much for you and yet you never appreciate me!LOL

So a wife is a Vocal Supporter.

BTW how do we know what really went thru the mind of the husband?

May be he was thinking 'How can I open my mouth and tell her that I am supporting her? She weighs a ton and I cant bear holding the bridge anymore...I am old and andropausal with poor muscle tone....if I were to speak I am sure the bridge would come crashing down .... have you seen any Olympic weight lifter talk and carry weights?"

So PJ sir..that is the real reason why the husband was silent!LOL

While the wife's crib and taunt their husbands in public, the husbands in most cases bear the humiliation for the sake of family prestige and other innane stuff!

PJji,
An absolute gem, beautiful poem very appropriate for a Valentine day any other day.
Thanks for the post

renukaji

Most husbands keep quite most of the time and all the talking are always dome by his wife only!! this is True all the time whether he is Holding her/ or holding a broken bridge.

The Late of marriage of Brahmin Girls, Girls's side unreasonable demands are all made out only by mother of the Girls, fathers usually a silent spectator only

Some time a wife can also do this!!!

Did the wife's new boyfriend click the picture? :decision:

After the wife messages, she beams with pride, and with overpowering love, hugs the husband, who apparently was still holding on to the bridge firmly. The wife was so overwhelmed by emotion that her eyes filled with tears and clouded her vision !

It was a defining moment since she could not get to see the glazed look of her husband eagerly awaiting the lady, a friend of his wife, who was slowly and leisurely crossing the bridge...

:-)

did you see the karan johar film' kabhi alvida na kahna' where shahrukh is trying to meet and greet his girl friend rani mukerji on the road in an extra marital affair ,his wife played by preity zinta imagines that he has taken the trouble to greet her on a special day.

Dear RR ji,

Have you noticed that in Forum its the male members that go Goo Goo Gaa Gaa and all sentimental about Lovvu and relationships??

I wonder why????

I am starting to wonder if males are actually the "weaker" sex in terms of emotions.

Females somehow seem more practical.

I think ,most time ladies size up males in cold blooded way and assess whether they are kadalai podara material. if not drop them. this is what I suppose you call practical . men get carried away by beauty and other external appearances and fall for a lady. marriage and long term relationships are nowhere in calculation. they think i terms of conquests and trophies. if this is called emotional, they are. oldies-male of course are a different kettle of fish. they live in an imaginary world of their own as far as love and relationships are concerned. they can neither see nor hear well . they could even love lamp posts if they look like ladies

To a certain extent I think you almost hit Bull's Eye!

Cold Blooded..may be..sometimes.

I have noted that males handle relationship break ups badly. They get emotionally drained.

For females sometimes the only reason they might feel bad becos of a break up is the fact that they have no boyfriend at present and all other friends have one and others will talk behind their back and say all sorts of things about them.

So a female is more concerned about what other females think and talk about her.

I have seen in college when some friends break up other females will start making her feel worse by saying "thank god I am in a stable relationship blah blah blah"

They seldom sympathize..most females are just out to show each other..even female siblings tend to show each other "my husband is better than yours" God knows what else they compare? Locker room secrets??LOL(I have no idea since I dont have a sister)

Females tend to get up back on their feet fast and recover real fast.

Now coming to more examples..a widow somehow manages even 10 kids and no where to go but a widower with even 1 kid seldom manages as well or fails miserably.

A male somehow needs back up support of a female whether he admits it or not.

The male mind is somewhat emotional it is just that all these years females were thought to be more emotional..the fact is females just make more noise blah blah blah non stop but they can be emotional stable or even emotionally below freezing point.

you know Renuka ji
TV in india show ladies weeping at the drop of a hat. good occassions or bad they are depicted as emotional. most housewives see them and I know many who identify with them and shed tears on seeing the tamil/hindi serials regularly.these serials have high TRP viewers ratings. this is inconsistent with your view of emotional stabilty, below freezing point blah blah.
break up -it is an interesting subject - who gets hurt more and how they respond. most men move on and get married promptly to girls selected by their parents- after a break up and conclude love and emotion is not for them. ladies get burnt more because they wonder what other ladies say and response of close family and society at large. as you say . many try the escape route ,go for higher education and other countries for work. I know even some who remain unmarried for a lifetime. these opt for second grade men later and live miserably treating marriage as some duty to be performed due to family pressures and think of what they could not get.all this talk of free choice lead only to misery for both and there are more break ups than realisation of marriage
you are right that widows respond better than widowers on life after bereavement. my two lady domestic servants are living it up after death of their husbands.men sometimes seem unable to adjust to life after loss of wife and would like someone for support. I know one well off TB male who became a drunkard after loss of wife and none of his children wanted him as it would be bad for their kids to be exposed to him . he died a miserable death

Dont get conned by tears yaar..

I never trust anyone who cries too much or cries too little.

Selfish people cry the most.

Sometimes I wonder why some mAmAs are always nagging their wife and vice versa. Probably, they want their partner to be

happy when they leave this world! :rip:

One mAmi struggled a lot, getting married to a polio affected mAmA, who was 15 years elder to her ( happened in the late 40s).

She has confided to me that she wants to live at least for a decade after her man passes away! And she DID! :thumb:

Dear Renu,

TV megA mahA serials are absurd. In real life, no woman cries like that or has evil plans against her in laws / husband. :nono:

But, I have come across a few women who can make others cry with their harsh words. They won't cry much!

RR ji..you are right..in real life no one is like that...so much plotting like some evil ice queen.

Its all Cock and Bull in MEGAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Serials...that is why I never waste time watching any of these Mega Serials.

The only time I cried when watching a movie(as an adult) was when I saw Men of Honor..a true story about Petty Officer Carl Brashear..the 1st African American Master Diver in the US Navy who opted for amputation of his injured lower limb which was hindering his ability to dive.

That movie will make you cry becos its a true story and not some made up mega serial.

Raji Madam

Whatever you say, only maamis see such videos , that is TV serials are screened .

Men very few might watch.

I used to sit in another room , close the doors and browse if anyone is watching these crying serials.

I don't watch those soaps P J Sir! It is total waste of time.

I fully agree with you RR ji..

Its a waste of time ..even my mum does not see any of the Mega Serials..she says that its all full of cunning plots that is not healthy for the human mind.

I agree with her..most of the serials depict the average Indian home as a land mine!

I rather read a book or watch NCIS and Law and Order which are informative and has the handsome Mark Harmon and Christopher Meloni!LOL

though educated and liberated ladies deny ,many of them see them on the sly when they feel like having a good cry after a hard day at work .it is escapist like men watching porn after a days work. lol

hello Krish ji,

I am telling the truth! MEGAAAAAAAAA serials are boring.I rather watch what you watch after a days work!

Some men are so much glued to the idiot box that they will have mega serials comparable to serial lights and watch them nonstop.

In Boston, one of our relatives got the laptop I was using, to see all the soaps uploaded, to update all the stories! Strange, I thought!!
