I know you believe me cos you also do not watch MEGAAAA serials but Krish ji had a doubt and he thinks we might be watching Mega Serials on the sly.

So here he can clearly see that I do not watch Mega serials.

I have explained to him and he has a real eye for detail cos he asked me why some Y's have a slightly longer stem that face downwards and some just a shorter stem.

So you see there will be questions after questions.

Men are more interested in news & music....But Tamil mega serials a No No..Some do watch English serials like sherlock, castle

The Tamil serials are made by men for the gullible women! To make them sob (lot of noise with body shakes, less of tears), weep(less or no noise, more tears), cry (less tears, loud noise) or make them happy (revenge themes)

Dear Krish ji,

I will let you know my TV schedule.

Daily at 7.50 am I will switch the channel my husband is watching to see NCIS for a short while.
My husband gets up in morning to see some devotional series about temples in India and TB priests doing poojas etc..last time he would see it quietly but after I briefed him about TBs..he asks me "is that a Vadakalai or Thenkalai doing the Pooja?"

You see when he did not know this 2 kalais he was thinking of Lord Vishnu but now poor guy..all he sees is Vadakalai and Thenkalai!LOL

Ok back to story.

7.50am to 8.10am..watch a bit of NCIS(cant see full cos I have to leave for work at 8.10am)

Then go to work.

9.50 pm on Mondays: Watch NCIS season 11

then I sleep

Tuesdays:

7.50 am to 8.10 am :NCIS

9.30pm :The Mentalist(Police crime series)


Wed: 7.50 am to 8.10 am :NCIS

9.50pm :Sleepy Hollow(Paranormal and Crime scene story)


Thursday: 7.50am to 8.10 am:NCIS

at night I watch a TV cartoon called American Dad or watch some kickboxing.


Friday:7.50am to 8.10 am :NCIS

Night: Law and Order Special Victims unit.

Saturday...I watch NCIS re runs in the afternoon.

Sunday morning : watch Castle ..(crime scene and cop story)

I am tempted to watch NCIS and castle after seeing your punishing schedule of TV watching.
I understand one is about navy espionage and the other castle about a writer chasing a lady cop involved in crime detection.these come on fox channel I think. my daughter is a great fan of these. we have our own serials CID and adalat in sony TV. they are in hindi. you may not be able to appreciate. there was 24 a racy crime serial starring anil kapoor in hindi copying an american serial of the same name. it is getting dubbed in tamil for a tamil TV channel

you know RR ji ji ,I learnt about the doctrinaire difference between kalais only after joining this forum. one member did a wonderful post on this.

since maximum women like and watch such weeping TV serials, Many such serials are coming out and they are scheduled from morning to night!! No women organization or Womens representative raise any voice against such poor way showing daughter in laws, sister in laws, mother in laws in almost all serials.

This might be one of the reason why nowadays girls are postponing their marriage and they are not also bold enough to face any problem of harassment faced by them.

They look pathetic, always weeping, unable to take up and face the problems of the life.

No other country shows women with such poor mentality.

In this Forum also, how many Women members raised topics on this ?

This is the state of women in general in Tamilnadu , they accept it as their way of life without raising any sort of protest against such TV serials which continue to occupy major portion of broadcast from morning to night.

PJ sir hindi serials are no better . they also have saas bahu serials which are tear jerkers. serial makers have their own way of deciding what appeals to ladies.
similarly tell me why men in india surf only news channels whole day,seeing the same news over and over again and also read the same news in newspapers next day. all oldies do that
in my home I have 2 TVS one for news and business channels and the other for soaps. avoids domestic conflicts on account of gender preferences

you are right, Even North Indian TV channels are producing such depressing TV serials because women in India generally likes such serial; if not they would not go on producing such TV serials.

Men seeing News channels again and again is because probably they do not wish to miss any new news !!

As I am living in US, i read news going through WEB, reading from Times of India and The Hindu News.

That too only headlines as that gives the information.

I also read Chennai City news as i am from Chennai.

I like crime scene investigation stories especially NCIS cos there is a Medical Examiner there who does all autopsy to determine cause of death and also good info on latest Forensic investigations..improves medical knowledge.

I am not fond of any Indian cop movies..most of it are cock and bull.It is not realistic most of the while.
I remember seeing a movie where Vijakanth is actually faster than a bullet!

For Indian movies I like to see some simple masala types where boy meets girl..run around trees sorts.

the serial 24 was pretty good as good as the american version. very racy and appealing to the facebook young crowd.
masala indian movies starring shahrukh or salman collect crores in box office. no surprise you are also contributing to these crores.
BTW sorry for the comment on educated ladies seeing tamil soaps-it was insensitive. I did not expect to get your TV watching schedule. you continue to surprise me with the unexpected post
